Reds revamp pack
28 Mar 2012
Ewen McKenzie has made four changes to the Reds forwards for Saturday’s clash against the Force.
Openside Liam Gill displaces Beau Robinson despite the threat of David Pocock at the breakdown. Hooker James Hanson comes in for the injured Saia Faingaa while Van Humphries and James Slipper are preferred to Rob Simmons and Greg Holmes.
‘One of the main areas we are focusing on this week is being competitive at the breakdown and this has been reflected in our selection of Gill and the combination of Beau and Eddie [Quirk] on the bench,’ McKenzie said.
McKenzie has made one change to the backline, with Joel Rapana starting at centre in place of Jono Lance, who broke his leg last week.
Reds – 15 Rod Davies, 14 Dom Shipperley, 13 Joel Rapana, 12 Ben Tapuai, 11 Luke Morahan, 10 Dallan Murphy, 9 Will Genia, 8 Jake Schatz, 7 Liam Gill, 6 Scott Higginbotham, 5 James Horwill (c), 4 Van Humphries, 3 James Slipper, 2 James Hanson, 1 Ben Daley.
Subs: 16 Albert Anae, 17 Greg Holmes, 18 Rob Simmons, 19 Eddie Quirk, 20 Beau Robinson, 21 Nick Frisby, 22 Nathan Eyres-Brown.

I wonder who will bounce back this week, the Reds or the Force? Hopefully will be a good game of rugby.

Still a strong Reds team. They will be too powerful for the Force.

There is a MASSIVE gaping hole in their defense. Just run at this Dallan Murphy guy. Worst defensive flyhalf I think I’ve EVER seen.
