Rebels wing banned
1 Apr 2012
Cooper Vuna received a two-week suspension for a dangerous tackle during the Highlanders’ 43-12 win over the Rebels.
Vuna was cited for his spear tackle on Highlanders wing Kade Poki in the second half, which only received a warning from referee Marius Jonker.
Sanzar judicial officer Mike Heron accepted a guilty plea from Vuna for contravening Law 10.4 (j): Lifting a player from the ground and dropping or driving that player into the ground. The Rebels speedster can only return to action on 15 April.
