Roberts to miss Aussie tour
3 Apr 2012
Wales centre Jamie Roberts has been ruled out of the three-Test tour to Australia with a knee injury.
The Dragons’ key midfielder was told on Tuesday that he will need surgery to repair a cruciate ligament. Roberts will be sidelined for six months as a result, meaning he will play no part in the Tests against the Wallabies.
The news will come as a big blow to the Six Nations champions. They pushed the Wallabies close in last year’s World Cup third-place play-off, and so the June series in Australia was expected to be closely contested.
However, the loss of Roberts will mean that Wales will go into that series without one of their most influential players.

Big Blow. This is their main strike runner. Advantage Aussies.

@Sasuke(Sasuke)-1: I think the Original Dragons will still have enough to beat the Aussies.

Henson’s a chop. Overated and all he cares about is his ego.
Have your say
