Boland close Saints Festival with a bang

Boland Landbou thrashed Helpmekaar 59-7 in the final match on day one of the St Stithians Easter Festival on Thursday.

Boland Landbou recorded the biggest win of the day as they eased to a 52-point win over Helpmekaar. Trinity and Noord-Kaap also picked up big victories as they downed Graeme (40-17) and hosts St Stithians (34-12) respectively.

Namibia’s Windhoek beat the sponsored invitational XV 36-10, while Northwood edged Kingswood 14-13 in an exciting duel.

Day two will resume on Saturday, with the highlight matches seeing Boland Landbou face Windhoek and Noord-Kaap tackle Northwood.
