Noord-Kaap flex muscles at Saints Festival

Noord-Kaap rallied to 54-10 win over Northwood during day two of the St Stithians Easter Festival on Saturday.

Noord-Kaap were one of the top rugby schools last season, and they’ve carried that form into 2012 with an undefeated run for the year so far. The Kimberley school’s latest triumph was the 44-point thrashing of KZN’s Northwood as Noord-Kaap ran in eight tries.

In other results, Boland Landbou beat Windhoek 35-29, while the tournament’s invitational side picked up a big win over Graeme. There were also victories for Kingswood and Helpmekaar over Trinity (18-17) and hosts St Stithians (24-18).

Day three will resume on Monday, with the highlight match seeing Noord-Kaap taking on Helpmekaar.
