Trio march on at KES

KES, Italy’s Viadana and Marlow picked up their second wins on day two of the KES Easter Festival on Saturday.

KES faced Bishops in the feature match of the day, and eased to a 28-13 win over the Cape Town school. Viadana downed Eldoraigne 18-5, while Marlow beat Jeppe 19-5.

Lichtenburg also kept their unbeaten status, but they had to settle for a 17-17 draw against St Alban’s.

In the other results, St Andrew’s shocked Pretoria Boys’ with a 17-13 win, while St Benedict’s thrashed the tournament’s invitational XV 50-3.

This will create an exciting list of fixtures for the third and final day on Monday. KES and Viadana will go head-to-head in the feature match, while Marlow take on Eldoraigne and Bishops will look for their first win against St Benedict’s.
