Chiefs boosted by Leonard return

All Blacks scrumhalf Brendon Leonard will play his first match since February when he starts against the Hurricanes.

Leonard tore his hamstring in the opening round of the tournament and has undergone intense rehabilitation. In other changes flanker Tanerau Latimer and wing Tim Nanai Williams move back into the starting line up with Sam Cane and Asaeli Tikoirotuma dropping to the bench. Hika Elliot gets a start at hooker with Mahonri Schwalger on the wood.

    Former All Balck Dragon who will go overseas after S15. Barlow has super seeded him. Had his moments. Good runner around the fringes until opposition figured him out. Barlow very similar player but more like Justin Marshall in his game – Playing like an extra loose forward.

    Sam Cane boy highly rated. Expected to be McCaw longterm successor.

    There is a significant line up of better options for the AB’s, and has been since 2007/08

    Why is it that journo’s always refer to players as being internationals, when they haven’t been in the mix of several team selections.

    Do you have to actually retire from the game to lose the label?
