    So Meyer mentioned on the latest News24 article that FDP wont be able to play due to club contract red tape…

    “The fact that we can’t bring the overseas players in makes it tougher because I would have liked to have Danie Rossouw and Fourie du Preez and other guys here, but their contracts state that they need a three-week break,” Meyer said.

    Yeah, might be the last points for the bulls for a while.
    Could be tough for them overseas- like percy said, no Victor, FdP etc to keep the youngsters focussed on rugby – there are lots of distractions in NZ and especially Australia

    The guys must approach it the way the Sharks approached their final game on tour and throw everything at it. And say losing is not an option. Before the latest injury crisis I was hoping for a 5-pointer in this game. But now I’ll be more than happy with a win. The bonus for the Stormers is that they have a 2 week break after this match.

    Based on the interview with AC (report in tonight’s argus) that is exactly what they will do- despite losing 232 super rugby caps during the last few weeks they will be going all out with the motto of “nothing special has ever been achieved in ideal conditions”.

    3/4 will be great, it’s certainly achievable.

    The true test for the Stormers this weekend. If they win they will show that they have a very deep talent base, but more importantly, a deep desire to enjoy the challenge and real mental backbone. Bekker needs to be outstanding in his leadership. There is a lot on the line here. Go Stormers!
