Lions’ woes deepen

Butch James has been suspended for four weeks after being deemed to have dangerously cleaned out a Brumbies player in the Lions’ match on Friday.

James was yellow carded for recklessly crashing into Scott Fardy at a ruck and has subsequently pleaded guilty for the offence of charging. He will miss the Lions’ entire Australasian tour and is only eligible to return for the Lions’ home clash with the Sharks on 2 June.

For f… sakes 4 weeks! Did he stamp on someone’s head? No!

    What a harsh sentence.

Does he qualify for President Zuma’s relief for prisoners?

May I suggest the headline to this story should read: Lions woes lighten

Butch is a spent force, a liability – and any team, even one as supremely shite as this Lions ‘B’ team, is better off, on the improve without Butch in the ranks.
