Punch earns Haskell suspension
1 May 2012
James Haskell has been suspended for three weeks for punching during the Highlanders’ match against the Cheetahs.
The loose forward was yellow carded for the offence during the game but a review of the incident saw him gain a steaper punishment from judicial officer Mike Heron. Haskell’s suspension sees him miss all matches up until and including the weekend of 19 May.
Haskell’s guilty plea, remorse shown and his impressive disciplinary record were factors in his sentence being reduced from five to three weeks, Heron said.

@Hurricane(Hurricane)-200: I honestly don’t hate anybody, but my perception is my reality, same as yours. The whole macho thing in NZ just leaves me stone cold.

I’ve noticed that there is a high percentage of foreign players in New Zealand whose behaviour on the field is thuggish. There seems to be a lot of pressure on them to prove themselves in that regard

@Hurricane(Hurricane)-173: You are wrong Hurricane…i do not read what i want to read…i usually wade through all the opinions…usually opinions like yours are quite well balanced however, opinions such as the ones spouted by Pboksgoing south are not rugby opinions but simply anti south african ones. Concerning bloggers wanting another earth quake to happen in Christchurch…i never read comments of that nature and i would not wish that on any nation.

Man, I like this site when it was about rugby. Our game of rugby, buy the tone of some of the commentary on here, it seems like I’ve logged onto the FIFA page. What happens on the field, stays on the field.

@fantasticbarnsmell(fantasticbarnsmell)-193:
oh no, I can’t sleep now and I’m feeling suicidal. A whinging Yappie male doesn’t like me, I’m suffering acute anxiety problems, my vision is skewered and my ears are buzzing.
oh, wait.
No I’m not.
