Morning GreenTea . Just reread my comments from yesterday. Yes it is hard for the Bok supporters to give credit where it is due.
I have to concede that the Boks with 80% of the ball in last years RWC still couldnt win, no drop goals nada!! The Ozzies tackled the living daylights out of the Boks and that is that. We had a terrible coach wh had no game plan!!
And yes the ABs were definitely the best team across the entire RWC, i think Wales were the 2nd best team but were a bit unlucky.
The French are just an enigma, what they did in the Final only they can do becoz you can’t coach that flair you either have it or you don’t!! The Pumas have a bit of that French flair too!!

I missed the whole saga which led to their ban as I didn't blog here from 2007 to 2009, but I do miss them. Especially Pietman, my all time favourite blogger - he always had a rugby story or six to tell about some event or some club, rivalled by none. I remember spending some time in Germany in 2006, when I first discovered this blog. I smiled from ear to ear when he posted about rugby clubs in the Northern Cape, which are very close to my heart.

@David(David)-165: @WP Till I Die(WP-Forever)-166: the wars on this blog were something to behold but i do miss some of the "broeders" quite a bit. gbs and pietman had valuable insight and added to the convo massively imo but took it too far when they started looking into peoples personal details, contacting peoples workplaces etc. the kiwi and aussie bloggers behave no differently now than they did then imo. they have very little frame of reference for our political bs and mostly stay out of it. Poppa lost his marbles in 2009 when the boks were dominating the ab's and kobus kitty made him cry into his lager and it snowballed from that point imo. most kiwis like hurri, cane etc are a pleasure to chat with, same goes for the aussies like walla and brumbiesboy etc. they give as good as they get banter wise but personal attacks and filth concerning rape etc etc dont seem to be part of their daily bread. unlike poppa. no doubt he will defend his actions with finger pointing but he is as bad as those he points at. he will be gone again for a rukkie soon imo.

Where things started to go sour was when SA politics entered the equation and e-mails started flying in the background summoning the troops to join the fray. It was a bit like kids in the playground telling their gang members they had a victim. At some point this approach was also turned on the Kiwi and Aussie bloggers who started to respond in kind. That's when it got rather ugly and adolescent.

If you were here 5 years ago you may remember we actually had some serious rugby talks with the old pops. Unfortunately these days he is trying to return serve to about a 100 people whilst only a handful of people actually served anything to him…so he ends up looking silly with all those wild swings and general silliness at nothing!
