Jean to face Cheetahs

Jean to face Cheetahs

Jean de Villiers has been cleared of his wrist injury and will be available for the Stormers’ next game against the Cheetahs.

Stormers coach Allister Coetzee has also confirmed that Gio Aplon (hamstring), Eben Etzebeth (shoulder) and Andries Bekker (back), have recovered from their injuries and will be available for next week’s match.

However, Schalk Burger, Duane Vermeulen and Nick Koster won’t be available for the next four matches. Coetzee hopes that the three loose forwards will be fit by 30 June when the Super Rugby competition recommences after a break for international matches.

The Bulls supporters are in touch with their emotional side. It’s just the envious one.

We’ve got Vermeulen and Koster as 8s and I was wondering who could cover if either was injured considering my idea that Carr should specialise at 6.

The Bulls have surprised me this year- if they can get 3 out of 4 on the tour we are going to be in trouble. In order to win the comp it is vital to end first or at least to win the SA conference and get a home semi.

    Go Waratahs :)

They’ve surprised me as well, but I doubt whether they’ll get more than 2/4.

Lets hope they beat the Chiefs and lose the other two matches with no bonus points. It will be ideal for us.

Personally I think the Crusaders are going to be very dangerous at the business end of the competition- Carter and McCaw will probably be back on form by then. In NZ they will probably be just about unbeatable.

I reckon they’ll lose against the Chiefs and Crusaders with the Reds a 50/50 call. Personally, I backed the Chiefs as the winners at the beginning of the season.
Anyway, I need to go. Cheers Rob.

you know when this type of thing happens (JDV comes back in a month instead of 2 or 3 months) it gives you false hope that players will recover sooner then they should. Happy he is back though
