Jean to face Cheetahs
4 May 2012
Jean de Villiers has been cleared of his wrist injury and will be available for the Stormers’ next game against the Cheetahs.
Stormers coach Allister Coetzee has also confirmed that Gio Aplon (hamstring), Eben Etzebeth (shoulder) and Andries Bekker (back), have recovered from their injuries and will be available for next week’s match.
However, Schalk Burger, Duane Vermeulen and Nick Koster won’t be available for the next four matches. Coetzee hopes that the three loose forwards will be fit by 30 June when the Super Rugby competition recommences after a break for international matches.

The most intelligent rugby player in South Africa. Go Jean. Sort the men from the boys

Great news all round. Schalk and Duane especially back after Super Rugby break. Would give us some great options.
4 May 2012, 17:55 pm
Stormers are looking like title contenders this year. Their big guns have been resting whilst the youngens have been doing some damage!!!
4 May 2012, 18:35 pm
@ Loki… “Puny God” hehe

Brian might be a Bok, but not at outside centre. Move him to the wing instead of Poolman and play de , also a Bok, at 13.

@THE MAULER(THE MAULER)-5: lol
Good News. Schalk, Duane and Koster will be raring to go after the June Break. Stormers have easy fixtures after the break (Cheetahs, Lions, Rebels) so it will be easy to rotate before the play-offs.
4 May 2012, 19:03 pm
Jean at 12
Brian at 13
Bokke!!
@Te Rangatira(Te Rangatira)-9:

4 May 2012, 19:05 pm
I would like to see Jean at 13 and keep JdJ at 12. Kitshoff’s performance has fell off the last week. Might he be tired or carry an injury. Give Deon Carstens a start against the Cheetahs.
4 May 2012, 19:10 pm
So it seems like
6. Kolisi
7. Elstadt
8. Carr
would have to go on until after the June Tests.
Is Don Armand the best back up for them?
Where is Rohan Kitshoff?

@Jinx2(Jinx2)-12:
Why play Brian out of position in favour of Poolman when de Jongh is available?

@Robzim(Robzim)-17:
You picked that up?
4 May 2012, 19:21 pm
@Sasuke(Sasuke)-14:
Kitshoff is playing for the Vodacom team in the semi finals against the Lions tomorrow. He is in good form and scored 3 tries last weekend – he is however an opensider and does not compete with Don Armand who is a 7.
4 May 2012, 19:22 pm
No thank you

Would you rather talk about the Sharks with Fern and HG?

I could not help to see your sharp response last night, lol.
4 May 2012, 19:27 pm
@David(David)-15:
I am a genuine believer in Habs at 13. For the Boks. It may seem like a premature judgement, but I have a strong hunch he is going to soar in this position, on attack and defence.
4 May 2012, 19:29 pm
@Robzim(Robzim)-20: Kolisi can cover 7 and 8 as well, making Kitshoff a viable bench option.
4 May 2012, 19:34 pm
@Robzim(Robzim)-23:
Couldn’t resist it, although No Guru missed the dig.
As for Armand, we’ve 7 cover coming out of our ears, and whilst Kolisi has done a great job, he’s still a 7. A genuine 6 is where we’re a bit vulnerable.

4 May 2012, 19:37 pm

Has Kolisi played 8 before? I like the idea and feel that Carr would also make a great 6.

@Sasuke(Sasuke)-25:
I think the selectors are influenced by the fact that they need to have a tall player (like Armand) as a backup for the lineouts in case a lock or Elstadt gets injured. Kitshoff and Carr are both quite short while I am not sure whether Kolisi is any good as a line-out jumper either.

@Robzim(Robzim)-30:
Good point, it’s also why I think Carrs future should be at 6. He’s got all the skills as a distributor and link man as well as a high work rate.

@carol(carol)-34:
Hi,
You mean mine is in trouble- you are still in with a shot.
I see there are 3 blue bull supporters in the top 3 positions.
This is unheard of- i am sure the comp. is rigged.

4 May 2012, 19:49 pm
@David(David)-35:
I fully agree- he is too short for a number 8 in the modern game at the highest level so the sooner he specialises as an opensider the better.
4 May 2012, 19:51 pm
@David(David)-29: Yes at huge group level.
@carol(carol)-33: Nikita cant learn here lines.

We Bulls supporters just make rational intelligent guesses!!
It helps when you are cool and level headed unlike the excitable, emotional Stormers ‘types’!!
4 May 2012, 19:54 pm
@Robzim(Robzim)-36:
They could only get there by backing the Stormers.
4 May 2012, 19:55 pm
Stormers can play it
Kolisi
Elstadt
Carr
or
Carr
Elstadt
Kolisi
Hardly makes much difference either way. Fine balanced trio whichever way they prefer to pick their players.

I can see Percy reading the teleprompt…..Or perhaps the script is on flip charts behind the camera!
Nikita could try that tac!
