Super Rebels stun Saders
12 May 2012
SIMON BORCHARDT reports on the Rebels’ 28-19 upset win against the Crusaders in Melbourne.
These teams did not meet in 2011, because of the conference format, and the general consensus was that the Crusaders missed out on five easy log points.
Richie McCaw’s side must have arrived in Melbourne for this 2012 fixture expecting a comfortable bonus-point win but they left with nothing after conceding two quick tries, in the 67th and 70th minutes, which turned the game on its head.
First, replacement lock Al Campbell passed in the tackle to winger Mark Gerrard, who cut back inside and sent scrumhalf Nick Phipps away for the try. Then 34-year-old substitute centre Stirling Mortlock intercepted a poor pass from Crusaders prop Owen Franks and found Cooper Vuna. The winger attracted the only covering defender and gave the ball back to Mortlock, who dived over.
The Rebels then defended that nine-point lead for the next 10 minutes to pull off one of the biggest upsets in Super Rugby history.
And it was a well deserved win, too. They dominated the breakdown, used the width of the field on attack, and Gerrard’s tactical kicking was superb from the back.
The hosts had all the ball early on and were rewarded with a try to Phipps, who threw a dummy, burst through a gap between two wrong-footed defenders and planted the ball on the line.
Phipps, though, effectively gave those seven points away on the half-hour mark when he knocked on 35m out. The Crusaders booted the ball ahead, regained possession, and second rower Sam Whitelock scored the simplest of tries after a burst down the left touchline by fullback Tom Marshall.
Flyhalf Tom Taylor kicked the conversion and then slotted his third and fourth penalties to give the visitors a 19-10 half-time lead.
But it was all the Rebels in the second half and while they weren’t able to breach the opposition defence in the third quarter, two penalties from flyhalf Kurtley Beale cut the deficit to three.
Then came the two tries that stunned the seven-time Super Rugby champions, and gave the small crowd a reason to celebrate long into the night.

12 May 2012, 11:45 am
Rebels starting nicely. Time for Crusaders to show who’s the boss.
12 May 2012, 11:46 am
he was already in touch. That’s rubbish
12 May 2012, 11:48 am
only the 1st player it touched can be classed as a charge down. 2nd player looked to have knocked on.
Crusaders doing well despite **** calls
12 May 2012, 11:52 am
Oh, Crusaders are the okes in blue?
12 May 2012, 11:52 am
Rebels are in it to win it. Viewer to switch allegiance soon.
12 May 2012, 11:56 am
No worries yet. Still 65+ mins to score 4+ tries.
12 May 2012, 11:59 am
and them referee is?
12 May 2012, 12:04 pm
Crisp passing & running by rebels

Promising move breaks down
12 May 2012, 12:09 pm
They have said Robbie Frueans name. Stupid commentators
12 May 2012, 12:11 pm
Turnover. Try!
12 May 2012, 12:11 pm
The Empire has struck.
12 May 2012, 12:11 pm
Cmon Rebels!
12 May 2012, 12:12 pm
Rodney blake. Conditioning?
12 May 2012, 12:16 pm
Tacler rolls away. Does second piling in have to stay on feet? Answee pls
12 May 2012, 12:19 pm
Sorry. I meant does the second man piling in after the tackler rolls away have to stay on feet to contest ball?
12 May 2012, 12:21 pm
@viewer(viewer)-19: yes he does..
12 May 2012, 12:23 pm
Those scrum penalties are jokes. How does Crockett get away with his illegal binding or in some cases no binding? Hilarious!
12 May 2012, 12:23 pm
Good to see the Rebels Captain ( I think ) knows how the game is played.
He said to beat the Saders you have to put points on the board.
Now who says rugby players are stupid?
12 May 2012, 12:24 pm
@viewer(viewer)-19:
Obviously yes.
Although this season many players have been allowed to ‘bridge’ supporting their weight with their hands on the ground which is just wrong.
12 May 2012, 12:24 pm
Ok p69 but. . .hhmmm I think the saders got a bit lucky there
12 May 2012, 12:25 pm
Hi Hurricane. Great game vs you guys
12 May 2012, 12:25 pm
@Pee Wee(Pee Wee)-21:
I will answer as we all know where this is going.
ITS COS HE IS KIWI.
12 May 2012, 12:26 pm
@chch(chch)-25:
Yeah mate sure was a goody
12 May 2012, 12:27 pm
The saders pile in en masse & so quickly. I support them but it seems like sleight of hand stuff
12 May 2012, 12:28 pm
blake is absolutely owning crockett…
12 May 2012, 12:35 pm
was that not a maul?
odd
12 May 2012, 12:37 pm
Ref missed rebel taken out of play . Oh saders, so lucky sometimes
12 May 2012, 12:37 pm
@chch(chch)-30:
yeah, thats one of those rules that can go either way.
In south Africa its called ” the ref cheated ”
12 May 2012, 12:38 pm
26 @ Hurricane.
I think its easy to spot someone not binding or pulling their opponent down. None so blind.
12 May 2012, 12:39 pm
@viewer(viewer)-31:
I remember one year the Saders were lucky when the Christchurch mist gods came down and ruined my Hurricanes teams chances.
12 May 2012, 12:42 pm
@Pee Wee(Pee Wee)-33:
Its alot harder to spot your own team doing it though.
12 May 2012, 12:43 pm
Richie sitting on his @ss on the wrong side of the ruck – ripping the ball – classic
12 May 2012, 12:43 pm
Richie turns the guy the wrong way. He’s back
12 May 2012, 12:43 pm
@Hurricane(Hurricane)-34:
The referee gave the option of playing the next day/week. Everyone wanted to play.
12 May 2012, 12:46 pm
Corey Flynn looked to be offside there
12 May 2012, 12:48 pm
35 @ Hurricane
That is why its easier for me to see it when my team isn’t on the park.
12 May 2012, 12:48 pm
@Pee Wee(Pee Wee)-36:
I hope your not talking about McCaws tackle and he turned the guy?
He didnt rip the ball.
12 May 2012, 12:48 pm
Rebels unrecognisable from last year. Well done so far
12 May 2012, 12:48 pm
Cameras on McCaw but that was Crockett
12 May 2012, 12:50 pm
@Pee Wee(Pee Wee)-40:
Yeah i know your side is not playing at the moment.
Still does not mean what i said was incorrect.
12 May 2012, 12:51 pm
Composure deserts the saders ATM
12 May 2012, 12:51 pm
Crusaders not the same team without Kieran Read on the pitch.
12 May 2012, 12:52 pm
41 @ Hurricane
No – I’m referring to where the Crusaders 15 took the ball up and was penalised for holding on
12 May 2012, 12:53 pm
Rebels hooker has giant biceps!
12 May 2012, 12:55 pm
The Rebels are doing a good job here at the moment
12 May 2012, 12:56 pm
@Hurricane(Hurricane)-49: rebels are going well.. Saders may have to bring the big guns on to win this..
12 May 2012, 13:00 pm
Pathetic actions by Beale. Soccer style pantomime…
12 May 2012, 13:00 pm
rebels putting up a good fight here!
12 May 2012, 13:02 pm
Well, hope Keiran is ok.
To me it should be a penalty to the Saders.
Rebels lock had his hands all over the Kerian Read in the air.
12 May 2012, 13:04 pm
good try, pass from mortlock looked forward though..
12 May 2012, 13:04 pm
saders blowing hot & cold this season
12 May 2012, 13:06 pm
offside at the ruck
12 May 2012, 13:07 pm
unreal… you make your own luck, this is going to blow the comp right open..
12 May 2012, 13:07 pm
Looks to be game here
12 May 2012, 13:07 pm
this was supposed to be a GIMME for the saders
12 May 2012, 13:08 pm
@chch(chch)-56: cant be, SA has the best refs in the world, and only Saffa teams get the bad calls
12 May 2012, 13:08 pm
Listen to the commentators, wow are they happy or what lol
12 May 2012, 13:09 pm
Now that’s may be the upset of the season and easily the best ever game for the Rebels. Bookies are tearing their hairs.
12 May 2012, 13:11 pm
@Nils(Nils)-62: SA/AUS reffing conspiracy fer sure.. lol
12 May 2012, 13:11 pm
Why are they being given a 2nd chance after taking the quick throw. It’s a 5 meter scrum to the Crusaders for taken back into goal.
More rugby charity for the Australians
12 May 2012, 13:12 pm
hope the rebels can pull it off either way next year the rebels and cheetahs are going to cause problems in super rugby
12 May 2012, 13:13 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-63:
To be fair, Rebels look on fire from the go. If they win (which looks likely), good on them, they deserve it.
12 May 2012, 13:13 pm
Cmon the Rebels.
I can see the Kings being this competitive next year. Pffft.
12 May 2012, 13:15 pm
@Nils(Nils)-66: I agree, have been the much hungrier team.. Saders took them too lightly..
12 May 2012, 13:18 pm
REBELS With Our Applause…!!
12 May 2012, 13:18 pm
well done to the rebels… deserved their win
12 May 2012, 13:19 pm
Great results for the Sharks this morning.
If the Sharks get their full 5 points it means they go into 6th place, 1 point behind the Saders in 5th.
If the Sharks don’t win well tonight they don’t deserve to make the playoffs.
End of story.
12 May 2012, 13:20 pm
Congrats to the Rebels. Well played. A huge result for them
12 May 2012, 13:20 pm
Holy sheet! Rebels kick the Crusaders to touch! If we could use this game to put things into perspective the young Bulls team deserve some credit.
12 May 2012, 13:21 pm
Bwaaahahahahahaha
12 May 2012, 13:22 pm
Gie gie gie
12 May 2012, 13:22 pm
Saders were arrogant resting players – that’s what happens.
Now if they can only stop the Saders from constantly cheating the whole comp will be looking better.
12 May 2012, 13:23 pm
@Pee Wee(Pee Wee)-73:
Where did you learn math.
The Crusaders can still win the competition.
12 May 2012, 13:23 pm
time out for crooked crusaders, taken out by committed Rebel outfit
Pity Peyper didn’t ref WC final instead of Paddy’s bloody stooge Joubert and France would have earned the WC win they deserved.
12 May 2012, 13:23 pm
blackadder fluffed it! Underestimated the Rebels & paid for it.
Well done Rebels!
12 May 2012, 13:24 pm
Congrats, Rebels, huge win. Crusaders not have let cat in among the pidgeons.
12 May 2012, 13:24 pm
@jeest(jeest)-76:
Every team has rested players when they were not 100% fit. That goes for all sports and competitions in history.
You sound ignorant or just plain stupid.
12 May 2012, 13:25 pm
Well done Rebels.
Watch them get smashed in their next game.
Funny game this.
12 May 2012, 13:25 pm
@jeest(jeest)-76: so the Saders lose and theyre still cheats?
bwahahahaha
thats the funniest thing Ive ever heard on this site… congrats for that..
12 May 2012, 13:25 pm
@skopskiet(skopskiet)-78: Not sure about Peyper – he has some pretty ordinary games but you are corrct in saying that anyone else would have resulted in a French victory.
12 May 2012, 13:26 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-83: Just cause you lose doesn’t mean you are not cynical and constantly engage in illegal play – the funniest thing I’ve read was your post where you failed to comprehend that.
12 May 2012, 13:27 pm
It is easy for any moron to say that a favoured team underestimated the opposition when they lose. There is no evidence of that. Some non 100% players played and some non 100% players didn’t play.
12 May 2012, 13:27 pm
77 @ chch
Did you see me mention the Crusaders are out of the running? What are you on about? LOL
12 May 2012, 13:27 pm
Ha ha ha I love it how Kiwis can dish it out to everyone but get so defensive when they lose. Kiwis – worst winners and losers in the world.
12 May 2012, 13:28 pm
@Pee Wee(Pee Wee)-73: “If we could use this game to put things into perspective the young Bulls team deserve some credit.”
The Blues in Pretoria!
Another perspective.
12 May 2012, 13:29 pm
Rebels have arrived
12 May 2012, 13:30 pm
@jeest(jeest)-88:
Read post 72. Your just making craap up left right and centre. When South African sides lose we get pure hate on here. You have nfi. You are a complete joke.
12 May 2012, 13:31 pm
@skopskiet(skopskiet)-78:
Boks still would have been watching so no matter
12 May 2012, 13:31 pm
@jeest(jeest)-88: really, this from a nation that creates a facebook page to slag of a , wait for itm its a big surprise this, a referee?
hahahah seems the 20 years of being our ******* has you seeing ghosts…
what a larf… I dont even support the saders, so it doesnt worry me if they win or lose…
but yep, its only NZ teams that are cynical… just dont watch the Bulls or the Stormers, because they are never cynical either huh?
what a tosser..
12 May 2012, 13:32 pm
since Rebels chucked out that pisswilly little pompous pom and shifted Beale to fly half they turned the corner, Crusaders were never really in this game all their points coming from opportunistic turn over ball and Rebels stepped it up big time to squash any Crusaders cheating cause
12 May 2012, 13:32 pm
@jeest(jeest)-76:
You need to rest players so they did. Idiot
12 May 2012, 13:32 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-93: @chch(chch)-91: And when did I say I was from SA?
You’ve both just made yourselves look very stupid.
12 May 2012, 13:33 pm
@Nils(Nils)-80: “now let cat in”
12 May 2012, 13:33 pm
What is with people like jeest. Just a trail of continual lies and untruths compiled from his own ignorance and prejudice.
What nationality is that knoob anyway?
12 May 2012, 13:33 pm
Not bad from the weakest team in the weakest conference
12 May 2012, 13:33 pm
@jeest(jeest)-85: seems someones still hurting from last year..
you should come to NZ, you’ll be able to see William Webb..
hes staying for another 3 years at least..
did you enjoy coming 8th?
12 May 2012, 13:33 pm
Like I said in previous post – just look at the posts from all the angry Kiwis who can’t take losing.
Worst sportsmen in the world!!
12 May 2012, 13:34 pm
dagg was 100% read was 100% ellis was 100% and they all didn’t start!
Now you can throw around the ‘moron’ word all you want but blackadder fluffed it and he lost to the Rebels….
12 May 2012, 13:34 pm
@jeest(jeest)-96:
I never said that you were from South Africa.
You didn’t do very well at school did you. Is that when you began to hate?
12 May 2012, 13:35 pm
Wow what a great win Rebels! You deserved it – you came close last week as well. Looking good…
12 May 2012, 13:35 pm
Congratulations. Execution & discipline was up there. Now SANZAR do not now make the argument that all start-up franchises will be competitive after 1 and two thirds of a season. Save us the spin please
12 May 2012, 13:36 pm
@jeest(jeest)-101:
See post 72 knoob head.
12 May 2012, 13:36 pm
@jeest(jeest)-101: actually, if you care to look back a bit, youll see all the kiwis congratulating the rebels, but dont let your hate stop you..
so which country are you from?
12 May 2012, 13:37 pm
@jeest(jeest)-101:
So do you know what country you are from?
Seems like you are too stupid or embarrassed to say.
12 May 2012, 13:37 pm
Even with all the Crusaders spoiling of the ball and loitering on the offside the Rebels still outplayed the perennial cheaters.
12 May 2012, 13:38 pm
crusaders
will have to
up their
cheating game
no way
they gonna
get anywhere
with such
pisspoor
cheating
not up to
their usual
standards
12 May 2012, 13:38 pm
Wow
Well done Rebels,looks like the stockade could be quite a formidable home venue in future.
12 May 2012, 13:39 pm
Hehe, vultures are gathering, crawled out. 8)
12 May 2012, 13:40 pm
man, the saffa psyche is so damaged by their continual 20 year loss to NZ that they cant help themselves..
comical stuff
12 May 2012, 13:40 pm
Rebels you beauts! Gonna be a great day. And the Stormers at Newlands later.cant get better than that.
12 May 2012, 13:42 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-107: I did look back – I saw one post congratulating them which followed about 5 posts from the same poster whingin about the ref and the Rebels….still, it’s better than you normally do.
@chch(chch)-108: Yeah i know exactly what country i’m from but i’m enjoying the thought of you seething at your keyboards – I’ll let you try to work it out seeing you were adament i was from SA. And yes – you did imply i was from SA – check your posts low breed.
12 May 2012, 13:42 pm
@chch(chch)-108: hes run away now.. must have found the pacifier he lost..
sad really
12 May 2012, 13:42 pm
jeest is phoning his mum to find out what country he grew up in
12 May 2012, 13:43 pm
Nice one Rebels! Go the underdog!
12 May 2012, 13:44 pm
Wheels falling off the crusaders. SHould have lost last week (thanks Bryce) and now a loss to the rebels. Mortlock has the pace of an old tug boat these days
12 May 2012, 13:44 pm
Ooh da kiwis are sour..
12 May 2012, 13:44 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-116: @chch(chch)-117: Shouldn’t you two be beating up your spouses or whatever you do when you lose?
What a low country.
12 May 2012, 13:45 pm

@jeest(jeest)-115:
No. Didn’t imply anything. I gave the example of the country from which this site is based.
You are just another polemic moron. No brain. no rugby knowledge. No value to add
You just tried to continual say that people were being unsporting after they had all congratulated the opposition. You are all what is bad about rugby. Just a twaat
12 May 2012, 13:45 pm
@We are red(Redbull)-119: Yes I thought the same thing. Not sure how the Reds lost that game.
12 May 2012, 13:45 pm
@wooden spoon(wooden spoon)-118: I knew i would find some rebel support from my saffa mates.
12 May 2012, 13:46 pm
@jeest(jeest)-121: hahah now the domestic violence jokes? bwahahahahahahaa
keep going, it seems you arent too proud of the country youre from, probably never beaten a kiwi team aye?
12 May 2012, 13:46 pm
@chch(chch)-123: I’ve forgotten more about rugby than you will ever know you arrogant moron.
12 May 2012, 13:47 pm
DOes anyone dislike the holding up in a tackle creating a collapsed maul. The law was never interpreted so stickyl like this until the world cup. Seems to be a big tactic now.
12 May 2012, 13:48 pm
Jeest you are making an arse of yourself!
Good win by the Rebels. Their forwards are stepping up to support a good and dangerous backline.
12 May 2012, 13:48 pm
Now watch all the fakes start ditching the Crusaders like an unwanted wart and start “supporting” the Chiefs
12 May 2012, 13:48 pm
I am off. See ya Poppa
Now jeest is saying I beat my wife. wow, what an inspiring rugby fan. He must come from a very dignified group of supporters.
You fuuckwit
12 May 2012, 13:48 pm
Not much rugby chat in amongst all the childish returning serves, is there?
12 May 2012, 13:49 pm
@jeest(jeest)-127:
Go back to playing with your little boys knoobhead
12 May 2012, 13:49 pm
This is amazing.
Saders lose and this thread just takes off. All sorts spew out of the woodwork.
I know this would not have happened if the saders won.
Anyway Saders played average to say the least tonight. Not trying to take to much out of the Rebels win as they played well enough to win. I mean Saders had missed 14 tackles in the first half, dont know what they ended up but this wasnt the Saders we all know.
Oh well it happens, well done Rebels.
12 May 2012, 13:49 pm
@93
From a nation that had Wiki entry on Barnes
12 May 2012, 13:49 pm
@chch(chch)-131: cheers Chch, hard luck mate… boys will be back next week, they are playing my team, guaranteed five pointer
12 May 2012, 13:49 pm
And the the Rebels was the only realistic chance for the Lions to win another game this season..
12 May 2012, 13:50 pm
@chch(chch)-131: Far more dignified than the mess you represent

12 May 2012, 13:51 pm
@wooden spoon(wooden spoon)-132:
yeah after messages of congratulations from losing supporters Jeest started calling us all poor sports.
Turns out he regularly plays with small boys so doesn’t want to give away his own location or who he supports.
12 May 2012, 13:52 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-136:
They have gone better now that Lam’s situation is terminal
12 May 2012, 13:53 pm
@wooden spoon(wooden spoon)-132: Mate not a lot but I just wanted t see the reaction. Just as I had expected.
Rebels played well tonight – good to see the closeness of the comp. Another interesting game tomorrow – hopefully I can get to somewhere here that will televise it.
12 May 2012, 13:53 pm
@chch(chch)-141: yeah, and we will lose quite a few of the dead wood at the end of the year too… its what they need, a complete clear out… not sure who will take the job on though..
12 May 2012, 13:53 pm
No upsets in the sevens yet
12 May 2012, 13:55 pm
@jeest(jeest)-142: the reaction? right… says the man who instead of celebrating the rebels win, still harps on about Saders cheating.
in a game they LOST?
fck me, it doesnt get any more precious then that..
12 May 2012, 13:55 pm
@jeest(jeest)-127: once a jeest, always a jeest. 8)
12 May 2012, 13:56 pm
@chch(chch)-140: I love the way you tried to take the high road and accuse me of making unnacceptable comments but then you return to your usual level.
Thanks for emphasizing my point for me. What a joke you are.
12 May 2012, 13:56 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-143:
Does that include any ex-Hurricane players
12 May 2012, 13:57 pm
@jeest(jeest)-147:
Everything here you did first and yet you try to take the high ground.
You are just an arrsewhole
12 May 2012, 13:59 pm
Are all kiwis this sensitive?
12 May 2012, 13:59 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-145: I couldn’t have cared who won that game – neither is a team I follow. I just like Rugby. any hemisphere, any comp, just like to watch it.
The Saders, and NZ Rugby are regonised internationally as cynical cheats – it’s only you guys who don’t see it.
Hong Kong is current location Chch btw
12 May 2012, 13:59 pm
@chch(chch)-148: cant blame those two only for our problems, they have been poorly coached (the whole team seems unfit) and they are but a part of that… injuries have played a part but wont use that as an excuse either..
seems to be problems within the organisation, and Id like Dalton to go as well tbh..
12 May 2012, 13:59 pm
Even though Ritchie was never bound, laid all over the ball, was offside, last feet meant nothing – they still lost. Well done Rebels!!!
Can’t imagine the same result with a kiwi ref. Even if Peyper also missed most of the Crusader’s game.
12 May 2012, 14:01 pm
@jeest(jeest)-151: yep, everyone tries to knock you off when your on top..
do our junior AB teams cheat too? theyve won the WC four times straight now… is that why so many NZ players and coaches are working overseas? because theyre cynical?
ok then. must be a very sad world you live in
12 May 2012, 14:02 pm
come on pooper,turn this thread around
you have it in you
be the better man
12 May 2012, 14:02 pm
time to go, the boring repetition of NZ cheating really is a poor reflection on those who use it as an excuse at every opportunity..
12 May 2012, 14:03 pm
@139
From a nation that have significant increases in domestic violence after getting a RWC beating
Time to admit it, NZ nothing more than a glorified Aussie state
12 May 2012, 14:03 pm
@Fern is not a stud,he is merely no19(Fern)-155: lol! Can you ever see Pooper not “returning serve”?! Never man! It’s his life!
12 May 2012, 14:03 pm
@chch(chch)-149: “Everything here you did first and yet you try to take the high ground.”
You were the one who implied you had taken the high ground, not me. I just love the way you resorted to molestation calls. Well if you think that’s funny that’s just you I guess. Not going to worry me.
You truely don’t have the intelligence level for me to debate any topic.
You are, as i have mentioned, a joke.
12 May 2012, 14:04 pm
I love watching kiwi’s and saffas get stuck into eachother. Can i be the neutral referee?
12 May 2012, 14:05 pm
@JL1(JL1)-157: from the nation that leads the world in domestic violence, and I have the stats to prove it if you wish..
thats right, its not NZ, its South Africa..
you really should get the facts first..
12 May 2012, 14:06 pm
@JL1(JL1)-157: Never a truer word spoken. Although the Aussies don’t want any part of them.
Can’t blame them really.
12 May 2012, 14:06 pm
@JL1(JL1)-157: oohh **** the kiwi’s wont like that. Technically you are right in a way. We do own their entire financial/banking system.
12 May 2012, 14:06 pm
pooper is like the crack addict that everyone has given up on.
i stillsee something worth saving
he is a crack addict,not the drug type though
12 May 2012, 14:07 pm
@jeest(jeest)-162: you are corrrect. somehow they get free entrants here without requiring a visa though so more kiwi’s live in oz then in NZ. Last one out of NZ turn the lights off please
12 May 2012, 14:09 pm
@JL1(JL1)-157:
We have the RWC, you dont.
And all that we have a better head to head than you. We have the most wins in international rugby.
We are the team to beat,we are normally the team thart every one measures themselves against.
And funny thing is your a South African moaning about our violence, when will you ever learn?
12 May 2012, 14:09 pm
@We are red(Redbull)-165: hell, I increased the IQ of both countries when I moved to Aus.. thanks for your tax money in way of the dole though, its great…
12 May 2012, 14:10 pm
@We are red(Redbull)-165: Aren’t they the people who come to Aus, do nothing, then slag off Australia and tell everyone how great NZ is??
Then none of them want to go home??
The worst thing about Australia is it’s proximity to that caravan park off your east coast.
12 May 2012, 14:11 pm
@We are red(Redbull)-165:
so over 4 million kiwis live in OZ?
I believe you have been found out, dont bother with the lights, your lights are already out.
12 May 2012, 14:12 pm
@Hurricane(Hurricane)-166: thats how starved these boys are of a win over NZ though, an Aus team beat a kiwi team and the Saffas and the nomad Jeest are all so excited..
ag shampies
its poetry mate…
12 May 2012, 14:12 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-167: haha our saffa mates wont get that joke but brilliant. had a good chuckle.
Not really how it is though. I work for a mining company and of our 200 scaffolders, i reckon 180 of them are kiwi’s. they do know how to scaffold, but for 120k a year without any qualifications, they must be smiling
12 May 2012, 14:14 pm
@jeest(jeest)-168: just for the record, Ive never slagged Aussie … we are red can back that up… I love it, free money, easy woman, good beaches, just got to put up with Aussies…most of them are pretty cool..
hell, they even dont mind that we are WC’s in both rugby codes…
12 May 2012, 14:14 pm
@jeest(jeest)-168: haha yeah there’s a few of them about. I must admit when I was living in london I saw a lot of Aussies do that to the english. I was so embarrased. go home if its so great.
12 May 2012, 14:15 pm
@166
You are still just another Aussie state
No significant population growth as no one wants to live there, so growth is achieved through immigration
12 May 2012, 14:15 pm
@166
You are still just another Aussie state
No significant population growth as no one wants to live there, so growth is achieved through immigration.
12 May 2012, 14:15 pm
@Transformation(Transformation)-102:
Transie my man, I recognised that and called their complacency and arrogance! Not that a Crusader team is ever arrogant
Also, remember that they only defeated the Reds by 4 points last week.
I’ve put two and two together, and I am happy to report that I’ve banked the Bru points thanks to the Rebels victory.
12 May 2012, 14:16 pm
@We are red(Redbull)-171: Im not really on the dole either…
been here for quite a while, love the place.. its proximity to home is also a bonus, I return every year to see fam and such, best of both worlds..
12 May 2012, 14:16 pm

12 May 2012, 14:21 pm
@JL1(JL1)-175:
Like your country is so great.
How many want to live in SA but cant leave due to poverty?
I know its millions.
Look at your own country before slagging others.
12 May 2012, 14:21 pm
@We are red(Redbull)-173: Agreed. No one asks people to come to their country and whinge – very ordinary sight indeed.
12 May 2012, 14:22 pm
@JL1(JL1)-185: bwahahahahahahaha
cmon Dolly, you can do better than that surely?
12 May 2012, 14:22 pm
Congrats to the Rebs.
And to Popps.
Out numbered 100 to 1,
and still he fights the good fight.
Even a Stralian joining the Gang of Malcontents.
12 May 2012, 14:22 pm

12 May 2012, 14:25 pm
@jeest(jeest)-188: thats right, got to love them keyboard warriors who are too scared to state their own country., lest the truth comes out huh?
cmon jeest, prove your a man and tell us where you are from, your righteousness should surely be vindicated when you do..

NZ is a backdoor to get into australia….suppose you could call it australia’s bumhole!!!!
12 May 2012, 14:28 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-194: I find the best way to find out what country someone comes from, ask them who the best openisde flanker in the world is. The country that person represents, is usually the country where that person is from. hahaha.
12 May 2012, 14:29 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-194: I realise in your shallow world this is an easy question but you will need to define “own country” if you want a response. As mentioned currently residing in Hong Kong.
12 May 2012, 14:30 pm
jl1 die slaghuis waar ek altyd vleis koop het n special op biltong gehad vandag r90 n kilo!
12 May 2012, 14:30 pm
@Fern is not a stud,he is merely no19(Fern)-195: hope your bringing your missus to the Opera bar mate, I will have a nice time showing her all your misogynistic posts.. but best you declare that type of plastic mate, otherwise you could get into trouble…
12 May 2012, 14:31 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-196: trust me bro. just ask him whos the best openisde in the world. if he says Pockokc, hes an aussie, if he says Brussow,, hes a saffa, if he sayd MCcaw, hes a kiwi. its science.
12 May 2012, 14:32 pm
@jeest(jeest)-199: I understand, you cant admit your nationality, I truly do understand… it must be pretty bad though if you have to hide it from people… do they not have an extradition treaty with Hong Kong? is that why you reside there?
12 May 2012, 14:33 pm
@We are red(Redbull)-193:
It means you have sided with The Dark Side red.
And when they have finished with Popps………………………………………..they will crucify you.
They loath us,
But they consider your lot lower than a worms tits.
12 May 2012, 14:33 pm
@We are red(Redbull)-202: nah, hes probably not even a rugby fan… seems rather insular though, slagging of another country without having the kahunas to state his own..
must know the truth and be scared to make comparisons..
12 May 2012, 14:34 pm
pooper i will bring her along if you promise not to stare
12 May 2012, 14:35 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-203: You truely are an idiot. If you can’t understand how someone would struggle to define “own country” you must have been educated in a sewer.
12 May 2012, 14:35 pm
@ossewa(ossewa)-197:
Suppose a South African would know.
How many are leaving your country?
12 May 2012, 14:36 pm
@We are red(Redbull)-202: Beale has been a revelation at 10 for the Rebels, do you think he should play there for the Wobs? and I do believe Gerrard would be good in the Wobblies too.. your thoughts?
12 May 2012, 14:38 pm
do you keewees want to stop returning serve as from now?
12 May 2012, 14:39 pm
@jeest(jeest)-207: whats struggle is there to define your “own country” ? only a spastic wouldnt know that…
where were you born? its that fck simple you dckhead…
12 May 2012, 14:39 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-209: Well with cooper and o’conner injured and with barnes playing rubbish, i think he’s all we have left. gerrard is god for his kicking, but robbie is so insistent on these young guys i doubt he will get a look in. of the rebels i reckon hugh pyle should be the locking partner of horwill. sharpe/simmons too soft.
12 May 2012, 14:40 pm
pooper who was the first pakistani to play test rugby for england?
12 May 2012, 14:40 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-211: now a question for you. who should be the backup 10 for the AB’s. gluttoney of choice. Barret? I like him
12 May 2012, 14:41 pm
@We are red(Redbull)-212: yep, Pyle has been great… had another massive game tonight ..rebs have beaten 3 kiwi teams this year, good signs for the Wallaby’s..good to see new talent coming through for you guys..
12 May 2012, 14:42 pm
@Fern is not a stud,he is merely no19(Fern)-210:
Fern ya 2 faced git. Look at the thread Canes rally past Landers.
You tell me.
12 May 2012, 14:42 pm
@Hurricane(Hurricane)-208:
I have noticed a couple of absolute great posts by you in recent weeks Hurricane.
8).
P.S. Wainuiomata in the top 3 for the Swindale Shield at present.
Hell has frozen over.
12 May 2012, 14:42 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-211: How fcking thick are you?? You think no one has ever associated with a country they are not born in.
Seriously, no joking. You are too fcking thick to comprehend simple concepts.
Born in the old USSR which doesn’t exist any more idiot. Was only there until I was 18 months so certainly don’t consider myself an easterner.
12 May 2012, 14:42 pm
Too many Hurricane!! Unfortunately our talent moving your way is just going to make the ABs stronger!
Jeest must be a shark supporter…they love the sharks and hate all other SA teams cause they suck balls!!!
12 May 2012, 14:43 pm
hurricane i am suggesting a truce
12 May 2012, 14:43 pm
@We are red(Redbull)-214: Cruden mate… has grown his game this year immeasurably… seems so much more self assured, is taking all the right options and you can see the work he has been putting in just by the improvement in his kicking game alone..
12 May 2012, 14:43 pm
@Fern is not a stud,he is merely no19(Fern)-210:
No go fckk yourself.
12 May 2012, 14:44 pm

haha
Go the Nui.
12 May 2012, 14:45 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-215: is it three? fark i thought just the blues and saders so far? Little bit of complacency maybe. they are still rubbish. Im off to the reds game tomorrow. will be a massive game. sunday arvo always pulls a good crowd. maybe 40K. itll be the end of the reds if they dont win. im scared. haha
12 May 2012, 14:45 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-209: Till Cooper returns I think Beale is a shoo in for wallaby 10,and Gerrard’s booting for touch is flawless.
12 May 2012, 14:46 pm
@ossewa(ossewa)-219:
lol
Keep sending them over ossewa
12 May 2012, 14:46 pm

You have the manners and diplomacy an Ivan.
8)
12 May 2012, 14:47 pm
@We are red(Redbull)-214: Taylor has been ticking all the boxes.Is Carter still 1st choice at 10 for AB’s?
12 May 2012, 14:48 pm
@jeest(jeest)-218: ahhh that explains it then, you have too much of a liking for the vodka, or your parents did…
so why did they move when you were 18 months old? dad up to his mafia tricks again was he? or did dad beat your mum so you had to “disappear”
not nice is it chump, to be labelled something when the person labelling has no fcken clue… so continue with the wife beating jokes, theyre oh so funny/
12 May 2012, 14:48 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-221: yeah cruden is looking the goods. he looks like he’s matured 10 rugby years this year.
12 May 2012, 14:48 pm
@We are red(Redbull)-225: Canes as well..
12 May 2012, 14:50 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-221: Cruden is solid allright.
12 May 2012, 14:50 pm
Did not see the game. How did the Crusaders lose?? Did they play badly, or were the Rebels good?
12 May 2012, 14:52 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-230: Actually your comments don’t worry me at all.
I’m not as precious as you and Chch
12 May 2012, 14:53 pm
@We are red(Redbull)-231: agree mate.. he should be buying his forwards a few beers every week… Reds game should be a cracker tomorrow, will miss it due to baseball though so not happy…
Think the chiefs are due for a loss soon, but they keep surprising me…
@skyewalker(skyewalker)-229: Deans may prefer him at Fullback with barnes at 10 though… Taylor has been kicking well for the Saders, but dont think he offers enough outside of that yet..
12 May 2012, 14:53 pm
@skyewalker(skyewalker)-233:
Carter will still first choice if 100% fit.
Cruden still the 2nd choice and 1st choice on the bench.
The youngsters will have to wait their turn.
12 May 2012, 14:53 pm
@RWC’11 was fixed(richardmarais)-234:
Rebels were pretty good hey,’saders may have been a tad overconfident.
12 May 2012, 14:54 pm
@jeest(jeest)-235: whose precious? youre the one who thinks it funny to laugh at domestic abuse…
12 May 2012, 14:54 pm
@jeest(jeest)-235:
Yeah right.
12 May 2012, 14:56 pm
so keewees,are we gonna call a truce?
12 May 2012, 14:58 pm
@jeest(jeest)-235: you cxame in here and mentioned the Saders cheating when they LOST? you also then said you wanted a reaction from kiwis who had actually congratulated the Rebs on their performance..
you then used a domestic violence in NZ jibe as some sort of point scoring..
tell us again youre not precious, please…
12 May 2012, 14:58 pm
@skyewalker(skyewalker)-238:
A good kick in the pants never did any Team any harm.
Best thing that could have happened to the Crusaders.
I still think they will be real contenders come the playoffs.
(they do miss Sir Bradley, me thinks).
12 May 2012, 14:58 pm
@cane(cane)-237:@poppa69(poppa69)-239: ok nonu or SBW?
12 May 2012, 14:59 pm

12 May 2012, 15:06 pm
I notice Fern has twice now called for a truce. Cane point blank refused and Pooper has ignored it.
Good on you Fern. I guess these kiwis can’t live without returning serve.
12 May 2012, 15:07 pm
@wooden spoon(wooden spoon)-254: actions speak louder than words..

12 May 2012, 15:09 pm

pooper i mean
12 May 2012, 15:11 pm
.you want a truce and you cant even address me respectfully?
hence my point about believing it when I see it..
12 May 2012, 15:11 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-242: Crusaders were cheating like mad and the referee penalized them accordingly and that’s probably why they lost. Just because they lost, it doesn’t make it ok to persistently cheat.
12 May 2012, 15:12 pm
correction
poppa
12 May 2012, 15:12 pm

@Fern is not a stud,he is merely no19(Fern)-261: Im always willing to talk rugby fern, but often I get p.issed off with the constant NZ jibes by many here… for our greatest foe youd think there would be equal respect, but its rare in that regard on this site, even the “journalists” are not adverse to putting the boot in.. hence I return serve, and if I have to take it to low low levels, I will… I’d prefer not to, but sometimes you got to do what you got to do..
@HongKongSlong(HongKongSlong)-260: so the rebs never sealed off the ball? the rebs were never entering from the side? cmon, all teams do it..
@greatest13gerber(greatest13gerber)-262: indeed they did, and full credit to them.. they have been improving all season, shame they are going to lose players like Delve next year though (unless he has been offered an extension, havent heard anything in that respect though).

12 May 2012, 15:29 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-273: Popps, ever asked yourself why you feel the need to “return serve” at every possible opportunity? Why take it so personally?
Why not shrug it off as meaningless and insignificant like most do?
12 May 2012, 15:30 pm
poppa please talk to cane

The knunt know as Fernly has had 6 years to show his reasonable side.
And you know it Spooner.
His continued sexual harrasment of Rugby Princess drove her away.

12 May 2012, 15:40 pm
@Fern is not a stud,he is merely no19(Fern)-275: I’ll specify and wont generalise Fern.. Cane is his own person though mate.. thats something you and he will have to sort.
@wooden spoon(wooden spoon)-277: do you like me returning serve constantly? now imagine that magnified by twenty or so people (not an exact figure obviously) and ask yourself, would you constantly shrug it off?
12 May 2012, 15:40 pm
@Fern is not a stud,he is merely no19(Fern)-290:
i’m sure that means alot to him.
whats your problem with the kiwi woman in any case, you seem to reckon you some sort of lothario with them or something so i dont really understand your bluster.
12 May 2012, 15:41 pm

12 May 2012, 15:46 pm
@greatest13gerber(greatest13gerber)-294: are you in france? 3 WC finals without a win would suggest that is where you are..
but hey, if in NZ, they have an attraction there called William Webb, you should pop in and see him… dont worry though, you have about another 3 years or so, so no need to rush..
12 May 2012, 15:47 pm
@cab(cab)-287:
Not looking good for your Lions next year cab.
You and all Lions fans have my sincere commiserations.
I trust you and all other Lions Fans will continue to hope for better things.
You have been shafted. But will be back.
12 May 2012, 15:49 pm
@cane(cane)-297:
yip, fkd, thats it, reckon could be the end of ellis – oh well so much for tradition and all.
12 May 2012, 15:51 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-296:
G13G is a North Shore Saffa.
One of the “Old School”.
Still flies the Old Flag from his Commodore.
12 May 2012, 15:53 pm
@cane(cane)-299:
lol, i think thats pretty much spot on, translates in any language, a commodore must be like a ford cortina or capris.
12 May 2012, 15:55 pm
@cane(cane)-299: oh? funny how they congregate together… is he the twink to whatevers sissy boy?
12 May 2012, 15:55 pm
cab a opel as we know it is called a holden in nz and a vauxhall in ireland.
12 May 2012, 15:55 pm
@cab(cab)-298:
Your lot will be back cab.
I know it.
The SARU know they have shafted the Lions………………………………………………..guilt will overtake them, and they will make things right.
12 May 2012, 15:56 pm
@cab(cab)-298: tradition was driven out the game long ago Cab… once the money men overtook it unfortunately..
12 May 2012, 15:56 pm
the new zealanders have got a pretty gsoh about it all, cos god knows i dunno if an old school kiwi with his AB socks on would go down too well in the local pretoria kroeg.,,then again who knows maybe they love it.
12 May 2012, 15:57 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-296:
New Zealand is a democracy that is true Unlike back home where the ANC government has fallen flat on bringing real freedom and jsutice for all.
12 May 2012, 15:59 pm
@cab(cab)-298: Howzit Cabbie,
I am with Cane on this, I think Lions have been shafted by Saru too. Will be a sad day not to have a Joburg team in SuperRugby.
Look I am all for the Eastern Cape to play SuperRugby, but not this way at all. They should have gone the same route as all other SuperRugby teams. Should be playing in the Currie Cup first for the next two years before entering SuperRugby. They don’t even play Currie Cup Rugby so how can the leap frog into SuperRugby? Just don’t seem fair. Saru screwed up on this one that is for sure.
Another thing most really can’t judge the Lions this year, your team have had soooooooooooo many injuries. I wonder how well most teams would do with so many out injured? Bet not many.
12 May 2012, 16:00 pm
@cane(cane)-303:
dunno Cane, they in an awful lot of ****, money-wise also, kings got a massive political backing, lions going one way i think – its a bit ridiculous that the powerhouse city of South Africa does not have a super rugby team.
@poppa69(poppa69)-304:
Popps, yip money and politics are the name of the game in this case. Kings deserve a franchise, but the Lions also should have one.
12 May 2012, 16:00 pm
Blackadder will be extremely disappointed with this result. But he was right to rest his stars beofre the business end of the comp begin
Cane, Yes – there are few polynesians I see on North Shore and many Saffas but that is democracy. In time, saffas will play for Abs as some already do for Blackcaps.
12 May 2012, 16:01 pm
howzit puma
12 May 2012, 16:01 pm
@cab(cab)-300:
Close…………………………………………. but a couple more cylinders than a Cortina.
Well actually cab, not close at all.
They are still making Commodores,
and very popular they are too.
12 May 2012, 16:02 pm
@Puma(Puma)-307:
“Will be a sad day not to have a Joburg team in SuperRugby.”
That about sums it up. Very sad.
12 May 2012, 16:04 pm
@Puma(Puma)-307:
First cab shows up ………………………………………..then Puma.
My faith in humanity is restored.
8)
12 May 2012, 16:05 pm
@Puma(Puma)-307:
Hi Pumes, long time no see – u in hiding cos of sharky results?
EC got too much talent to be squandered, the problem is that there should be 6 SA franchises, that is our historical feeder system – If rugby was the sole concern then that would be allowed, but they’ve gone for the Rebels instead who dont have an iota of rugby pedigree, and had the dosh to import stars from everywhere outside of melbourne and including the rest of the world – its crazy, the team may as well have been based in timbuktu – and this is all joneil and sarus for letting it happen. If they want to grow Super rugby fine but they shouldve accomadated the Sa problem – what is going to result is that rather than developing the game, we going to end up with a sham virtual money union based out of melbourne and a massive rugby region out of joburg going bust and ellis park taken out the equation – its like eden park and auckland no longer player cos of years of bad results.
12 May 2012, 16:05 pm
@greatest13gerber(greatest13gerber)-306: dont know enough of the political clime in SA tbh…so not my place to comment on it…
12 May 2012, 16:05 pm
@greatest13gerber(greatest13gerber)-312:
You got that right G13G.
You got that right..
12 May 2012, 16:06 pm
@cab(cab)-308: It is a absolute travesty that the biggest city in sa will not have a SuperRugby team.
Ellis Park was always, well sort of, the home of Springbok Rugby. Boks won more there than anywhere else in SA. Remember going there as a kid. Sad day just to wipe out history like that.
Now without a Joburg team will FNB be the home of Bok Rugby? Just wondering.
12 May 2012, 16:09 pm
@Puma(Puma)-307:
The SARU should simply have waited for the renegotiation of the NewsCorp contract.
End of.
12 May 2012, 16:09 pm
@greatest13gerber(greatest13gerber)-309: Reggie Goodes may be the next one, but he has to be much better than Rawlinson was… and besides, we import you guys to improve our cricket team, not our rugby teams
12 May 2012, 16:10 pm
@cab(cab)-314: hehehe. No not hiding cause my team not playing well Cabbie…lol. Just not blogging as much these days. Have my Scottish visitors here once again too.
Hey my Sharks may just make a late surge into the play offs……….hahaha. Wishful thinking I know…lol. I never give up on my team Cabbie. My team should never be sitting where they are on the log, we are a much better side than the rugby we have been playing this season. So hoping today we can turn it around and play to our potential.
12 May 2012, 16:11 pm
only highlight Cane,
is the relegation/promotion policy take effect after next year. But this whole affair smellls of political interference from moment it was conjureup.
as much as want to see Mighty Elephants rise again – this is not right way to start
12 May 2012, 16:12 pm
@cane(cane)-276: classy, as one would expect of you
12 May 2012, 16:12 pm
@cane(cane)-318: 100% true. Agree Cane they should have. They sure have screwed up now. So Lions have to pay for it. What a shame that is.
12 May 2012, 16:13 pm
@Puma(Puma)-317: Hey Puma boet.. hows Umhlanga?
are we all certain that the lions are out yet though? wont there be a court injunction or something similar? do Lions have any standing on a legal front? Will the Bulls play in Joburg to fill the void? (from my understanding Pretoria is close is it not?)
agree with Cane, SARU should have told EP that they must wait, but in the meantime SARU will siphon some of the SUperRugby pie funds to them to allow them to build their organisation to the point where it will make a smooth transition..
12 May 2012, 16:14 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-319: What will become of NZ rugby once Tonga, Samoa get a side in Super Rugby
12 May 2012, 16:14 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-319:
Goodes yes. Toby Smith at Cheifs also rated..next Woodcock..
Abs dont have much depth at 1,3,
12 May 2012, 16:16 pm
@JL1(JL1)-325:
disgrace an Island side is not in S15
12 May 2012, 16:16 pm
@cab(cab)-314: The Eastern Cape has to be included agree Cabbie, but they should have been included after 2015. Let them play Currie Cup for two years and get them ready for SuperRugby. Ag, it is a mess buddy. Feel for the Lions and their supporters. Both teams should be included agree, but Lions should still be in it and Kings come in after 2015.
12 May 2012, 16:18 pm
@Puma(Puma)-320:
still a good team if everyone fit, but do think need some tight 5 depth to be up with the top dogs in terms of consistency. in fairness tho i dont think they started one game this season with bismarck, beast, alberts and coetzee/deysel in same pack – then the sharks become more like sharks again – then again got to develop the squad depth – stormers can actually afford to lose like 3 or 4 forwards and will still be competitive, whereas sharks lose one of bismarck, beast or alberts and different kettle of fish imo.
AJ been on here telling it like it is with alot of diplomacy – plumtree got a problem tho cos he wants to keep morale of his players up, also not to sure where the talent comes from, one of etsebeth or elstadt or kruger who you want – but to be no 1, he needs better than average tightforwards imo.
12 May 2012, 16:19 pm
@JL1(JL1)-322:
And you JL radiate CLASS.
8)
12 May 2012, 16:19 pm
@greatest13gerber(greatest13gerber)-327: worst still, NZ not even trying to help by playing some games against them
Kiwis have played Samoa 5 times, can you believe it?
12 May 2012, 16:20 pm
@JL1(JL1)-325: yeah I know, I imagine those sides will be poaching all the NZ born Samoan and Tongan players… like their national sides did at last years WC…
@greatest13gerber(greatest13gerber)-326: I quite like Taimefuna from the Chiefs, only 20 odd and playing well.. Faumuina is another youngster who has been reasonable for a poor poor poor auckland team… so a couple of prospects who if they spend a few more seasons in super rugby may become decent ABs.. our juniors are 4 times WC’s, so the next generation coming through should unearth a couple more too…
12 May 2012, 16:20 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-324: Howzit Poppa, How you doing mate? Hope well.
Umhlanga is great as always. Magnificent weather we having right now.
@poppa69(poppa69)-324: Think it will be the Kings in next year Poppa. Saru messed up big time. Should have brought in Kings to play Currie Cup for the next two years then negotiate with SANZAR to bring in Kings after 2015.
Bulls WILL NEVER play at Ellis Park even if it is only 60km away. They just may play at FNB if asked though for a game or two.
12 May 2012, 16:21 pm
far as i can tell there alot of kiwis who been contribute here for many a year and make the place worthwhile, they like rugby and are pretty good okes, so whats the problem exactly. look they a bit one-eyed, but then again we have kobus wiese, and that balances it all out, true they did do a number on young barnesey and brycie got his farm in auckland for taking the bokke out – nevertheless bygones.
later, out. sharks – force match should be now
12 May 2012, 16:24 pm
@JL1(JL1)-331:
And how many times have you mothers played Kenya?
8)
12 May 2012, 16:24 pm
@cab(cab)-329: Agree. We missed Beast this season too. Our scrum was far better with him there last week. Alberts still not really over his shoulder op I think. The reason he has not played well. Our locks are not up there with Stormers or Bulls that is hurting us a bit too. But still have some hope, a little but there is hope……..haha. Just damn pleased we have Beast back.
I would have started with Deysel at 7 and Marcell at 6 today. Well that is just me. So have to see how the team goes today.
Okay out of here now. We going out to watch the game.
Good to catch up again Cabbie.
12 May 2012, 16:24 pm
@JL1(JL1)-331: never heard of this competition then Jl1?
The Pacific Nations Cup was funded as an International Rugby Board (IRB) tournament which was part of the $US50 million, three-year, global strategic investment programme launched in August 2005. In the first year only it was called the IRB Pacific Five Nations and did not include Australia.
The competition was aimed at developing the Pacific rim sides in the second tier of the rugby nations; Fiji, Japan, Samoa and Tonga. The Junior All Blacks were also invited to compete, who are New Zealand’s second XV. “The IRB Pacific 5 Nations is a tournament that will provide more certainty for Fiji, Japan, Samoa and Tonga in terms of regular high level Test match rugby, while also providing a high level of competition for the Junior All Blacks,” said Mark Egan, the IRB’s Head of Rugby Service
12 May 2012, 16:25 pm
Out of here now.
Cheers everyone.
GO SHARKS…..
12 May 2012, 16:27 pm
@Puma(Puma)-333: Im good mate.. looking forward to watching the Sharks/Force game… have tipped the force, but only because I am about dead last on superbru, have had a torrid time of it trying to pick this year ..
12 May 2012, 16:28 pm
@Fern is not a stud,he is merely no19(Fern)-310: Howzit Fern,
Only saw your post now bud. Hope you keeping well.
Okay now ouf ot here.
Catch up during the week.
12 May 2012, 16:28 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-339: Cheers Poppa,
Out of here, we going out to watch the game.
Need to dash.
Good to catch up again mate. Talk later during the week.
12 May 2012, 16:29 pm
Goodnight all,
And god bless some of you.
12 May 2012, 16:30 pm
@Puma(Puma)-341: enjoy boet
12 May 2012, 16:35 pm
Good grief
12 May 2012, 17:34 pm
@poppa69(poppa69)-337: IRB forced your hand
12 May 2012, 17:47 pm
Hi, Puma, hopefully you are doing fine!
@JL1(JL1)-331: True, that’s a meagre and woeful number.
Still that is 2.5 times more than Boks played Namibia (namely 2), and guess how many times Boks played Zimbabwe or Rhodesia back then.
Right. NEVER.
12 May 2012, 18:09 pm
mvovo magic
12 May 2012, 22:28 pm
This result put a big smile on my face today. Love it when the crusaders lose. Wonder how long the cape crusaders will keep supporting them if it happens again
12 May 2012, 23:36 pm
@cab(cab)-298:
Cab, its cr@p what SARU has put you guys through.
Their mess now the fans have to pay for it.
I would rather see 6 teams from SA than any of the 5 playing now to miss out.
12 May 2012, 23:39 pm
@Fern is not a stud,he is merely no19(Fern)-302:
Infact Holden Australia build the cars and re badge them and send them over to England and the USA etc.
One thing the Ozzies can do is build a good car.
The yanks of course fund or help with some things but 90% of the car is Ozzie built.
12 May 2012, 23:45 pm
@JL1(JL1)-331:
How many times have you played Zim or Nimibia, your on the same continent.
JL1 you need to leave and grow up. You seem to open your dumbass potty mouth at the wrong times.
And say some stupid comments
13 May 2012, 01:08 am
A reminder to Crusaders and especially coach..Blackadder..you take nothing or no one for granted in this comp…. It also shows how valuable Read is to the Saders….The Rebels had gathered some momentum from their previous game and were due a win…so good on them.
Have your say
