Reds’ attacking ace returns

Wallabies flyhalf Quade Cooper will make his long-awaited comeback from injury when he starts against the Lions on Saturday.

Cooper underwent knee surgery following last year’s World Cup third-place play-off. After seven months of rehabilitation, he is finally ready to play.

Cooper’s return sees Ben Lucas shifted to fullback and Luke Morahan demoted to the bench.

Coach Ewen McKenzie has made two changes to the front row, with Greg Holmes and Saia Faingaa getting starts.

Reds – 15 Ben Lucas, 14 Dom Shipperley, 13 Anthony Faingaa, 12 Mike Harris, 11 Digby Ioane, 10 Quade Cooper, 9 Will Genia; 8 Scott Higginbotham, 7 Liam Gill, 6 Jake Schatz, 5 James Horwill (c), 4 Rob Simmons, 3 James Slipper, 2 Saia Faingaa, 1 Greg Holmes.
Subs: 16 James Hanson, 17 Ben Daley, 18 Adam Wallace-Harrison, 19 Eddie Quirk, 20 Nick Frisby, 21 Chris F’sautia, 22 Luke Morahan.

Hooper is a class act. The Aussies are looking ominous for the tests.

The only reason i didn’t step in was because i’ve seen Dawn write 10X worse on this blog. If you can give you must be able to receive.

    And the teazers knows this.

But each to their own i guess, i would still not talk to Dawn in that way.

    it’s not about dawn…

it’s about getting bored of the persistent, monotonous scuzz which is mistaken for humour…

it’s about living in a country which has the highest rape and abuse stats in the world… and everyone thinking it’s a big joke… and yes… there is a very real correlation between misogynistic jokes and our abuse figures…

all it takes for these stats to persist is for decent men to say and do nothing… as unpopular as my opinion appears to be here… i will stand up and be counted… if bloggers want to castigate me for it… i really don’t care…

but i would suggest that those who do try the litmus test of letting there wives, mothers, daughters or girlfriends read what they write…

The only thing that the Lions are left to achieve this year is to put this guy back on the disabled list.

He is a class act and has the ability to make pathetic teams like the Reds and the Wallabies look great.

I’d really rather not have to deal with him later this year.

Australian rugby is a mile wide and an inch deep of liquid gold.

Cooper, Iaone, Pocock, Barnes, Beale, Genia, O’Connor and a whole pile of ****.

    Australia #10

I rate Christian Lealiifano was the inform flyhalf in Aus conference up until his injury

While Beale is getting the Back line going much like cooper did for the wallabies

As for mike Harris, I just rate his kicking only

Barnes is not a starter & seems too be static this year

So now that cooper is back in the mix I wonder who is going to wear the #10 jersey

    Potential Wallaby backline #June tests

    9.Genia
    10.Cooper
    11. Digby
    12. Pat
    13 fainga
    14 A.A.C
    15 Beale

    Bench
    20 white
    21 Berrick
    22 cummings

Harris was at the very best a stand-in #10 at the Reds, his ultimate position will be #12 at the Reds. He is a long way from the Wobblies team.

Aussies will always favour a real playmaker at 10, Larkham, Cooper, Beale. The last two can win a match all on their own if they have a good day, on a bad day…oh well.

If Cooper plays the last few games before the break he will be the #10.

    @greatest13gerber(greatest13gerber)-67:

Cooper is a unique player that can perform miracles when on form, if form drops they look extra poor.
