Double blow for Wallabies

Wallabies captain James Horwill and Kurtley Beale have been left out of the squad for the June Tests because of injuries.
Horwill sustained a hamstring injury in Saturday’s match between the Reds and Brumbies. He will undergo further scans but is expected to miss the the Tests against Scotland and Wales, which means a new skipper will need to be named.
Scrumhalf Will Genia and openside flanker David Pocock have been mentioned as candidates. Rocky Elsom, who has led the side before, has been left out of the squad completely.
Flyhalf Quade Cooper has been included in the squad. His return is timely considering the injury to James O’Connor (liver). Beale injured his shoulder in Saturday’s game between the Rebels and Hurricanes and will require surgery.

They are their for the taking. Losing their inspirational captain and their only fit flyhalf are big blows. Cooper to be rushed into flyhalf berth? He doesnt look match sharp yet.

Beale is a massive loss. He’s closing in on his career best form. With good coaching & clever tactics, I expect the wallabies to overcome their obvious lack of player depth

Only one real shock here and that is the huge Caderyn Neville… from Olympic rower to Wallaby in 3 Super caps…
Palmer, Mogg, Timane, White, Hooper can all thank none other than JAke White for both their Brumbies and now Wallabies caps… the man is a magician!
Outside of them (and perhaps Vuna) and the injuries there are no real surprises here at all… they have all been capped for either the Wallabies or Australian A…
Although Elsom must be fuming he’s lost his $400k contract…

Caderyn Neville is a prop out of left field for Australian Rugby. Hope he gets a NPC contract to further his development. Built like you know what brick house, in same build as Hurricanes behemoth Ben May and Carl Hayman, throw in The Bulls pair as well. Have not seen a prop for the Wallabies in this kind of shape since Richard Harry.
Beale is a massive loss, but Luke Morahan has X factor, was starting to think he maybe another Peter Hewatt, great skills but will never be selected for some reason.

Ben Alexander has missed just 1 from 18 tests the last few seasons… Ma’afu and Palmer are the other two out-right TH’s and Slipper and Kepu both the bench-options due to their ability to play both sides…

Brumbies have smashed a fair few scrums this year in their superb showing… not owning the Reds only re-iterates the FACT that Australia have far more depth at tight-head than the Boks…

Whlst the reds have wallaby players in the scrum they are not the wallaby tight five. James slipper and hansen have not played 12 games of super rugby this year…they might lucky to have strung twelve games between them. For the first 7 weeks of the super campaign the reds were missing their 12 first choice players. Bring on the sharks again!!
Aussie are entitled to a dire game…even if it is once in a blue moon! Saffa sides dish it up all the time and their supporters have puked up the fibs thats what they see ….is a good game to the extent they begin to believe themselves.
Now go back and calm down and have a cup of tea with your boyfriend.
