England pack loses Stevens
29 May 2012
England have suffered yet another blow to their forward ranks with news that Matt Stevens will miss the tour to South Africa because of a shoulder injury.
The South African-born Stevens injured his shoulder in England’s recent win against the Barbarians. He has been replaced in the squad by Gloucester prop Rupert Harden.
Stevens is the fourth England forward to be ruled out of the three-Test tour to South Africa next month. Tom Croft, Tom Wood and Courtney Lawes are all unavailable because of injuries.

Ok.
So that makes it 4 forwards, plus a possible suspension to Tuilagi.
That is 33% of a (possible) starting team.

When in South Africa they stay with their parents!!!! “

he wanted to come home without the stress of explaining to his mates why he’s playing for the Hooray Henry’s; … oh, hang on, on 2nd thoughts, he’s from Natal where playing for poms is most important … sorry

England were appalling at the world cup and have a worse away record than the Bokke, 3 nil SA. What you’re desperate for is a shot at the world champs/no 1 ranked Ab’s.

Ireland just lost to the same Barbarians team that England smashed on the weekend. Also interestingly enough, Francoise Louw was named man of the match. Heyneke Meyer should seriously consider this guy, he has Brains and Brawn a quality few other South African Back row forwards have.

Lancaster must hold the record by now for new england caps. think almost 20 players he has given test caps to in short tenure as coach so far
