The Glenwood-Maritzburg College 1st XV game will be broadcast on SuperSport this Saturday.

This is a rivalry that stretches back to 1921, when Glenwood won the first encounter 5-0. Since then, there have been 158 derbies. Maritzburg College have won 109 of them, while the Green Machine have only triumphed on 34 occasions. There have also been 15 draws.

Both schools have been inconsistent this year. Glenwood have won 10 of their 16 matches and College have won seven of their 12 games. Both schools have lost to Kearsney in recent weeks.

Glenwood will play hosts this weekend, and there will be a second leg at Maritzburg College on 4 August.

Saturday’s clash will be televised at 2:30pm on SuperSport 1.
