Wallabies pair in the dock
8 Jun 2012
Quade Cooper and Kurtley Beale will have to answer to the ARU for their part in an altercation outside a Brisbane bar.
The Daily Telegraph reports that the two Wallabies backs were involved in a fight outside the Victory Hotel on Friday morning. Cooper and Beale, who are not part of the Wallabies’ match 22 at present because of injuries, allegedly brawled with security guards in the early hours after being evicted from the bar.
The Australian Rugby Union is investigating the incident.
‘We’ve been made aware of an incident overnight and are still making our own enquiries,’ an ARU spokesman said. ‘As a matter of process the issue will be referred to an ARU disciplinary review procedure. We have nothing further to add at this stage.’

Boys on the town – sounds like fun

pathetic – how many times is Quadey boy going to throw his toys before he gets booted out? Disgrace to a national team. Obviously cant handle his liquor.

Same old same old across the codes here in Aus for Aboriginal players from AFL, to league, to union… a harsh generalisation that unfortunately sets true!
One would have thought Beale would know better than to have anything to do with Cooper outside of the game…
Rebel’s management are not going to be happy… even if Deans does jack again…

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear…been to the Coenie Oosthuisen School of Pub Etiquette classes again, have they?

Our Coenie would not have “allegedly brawled”, he would’ve just brawled.

@BrumbiesBoy(BrumbiesBoy)-6: There’s a marked difference between hair pulling and a poesklap.

I think Kurtley likes to get into fights in the hope that he’ll get bliksemmed, get a snotklap across the face and his looks will improve.
He’s got to be the ugliest guy ever to don a rugby jersey…and God knows that’s some achievement.
As for Cooper, he’s just trash, trash that happens to be able to play rugby.

Quade Cooper, always keeping it classy. Part of the wrap against Deans is he let’s the young guys get away with anything. They’re right.

Medical fact – some ethnicities have an impaired physiological capacity to metabolise alcohol. In fact liquor is a major scourge for Aboriginal people in Aus. Kurtley’s a role model to some. Quade’s got a sporting hift without which he’d be a plumber or janitor

Huge correction. Cooper is trash that CANNOT play rugby. Everytime he confronts a black jersey he capitulates.
Australians forget that back in NZ we have Quade Coopers coming through at every level, every other day of the week. Most of them are flashy, some of them may tackle, but very few of them go any further as in NZ we see these guys all the time & know how to shut them down. Cooper got out of NZ hence the reason why he got an international jersey.
He wouldn’t make the NZ “C” team.

@20.Ricardo10
Incorrect. Cooper can play and he would have been an AB had he grown up in NZ. Would you rather a test team a coupla years ago with the Duck or a young Cruden at the helm or an on fire Quade Cooper. He would’ve made the world of difference to the Blues over the years. Dammit. One that got away.

****. What the AB’s will never need is a flashy Maori that cannot / will not tackle. The guy has numerous head problems & when his game goes the head drops. The AB’s can never have anyone like that steering them, around the paddock. That knee injury in the semi saved Robbie Deans from subbing him. Whilst Cooper last year was dazzling the seriously incompetant franchises the big guns never gave him a seconds thought. They all knew how to get to him & whats more he knew it.

Bet there were laptops involved, Quade should just come out of the closet
Have your say
