Argentina ease past Italy

Argentina recorded a 37-22 win over Italy in in San Juan.
With a second-string outfit, the hosts managed an impressive win over touring Italy.
Inside centre Felipe Contepomi was the star for the Pumas, grabbing a personal haul of 25 points via a try, four conversions and three penalties. Flank Tomas Leonardi, prop Rodrigo Roncero and eighthman Leonardo Senatore also crossed the chalk.
Italy scored tries via scrumhalf Edoardo Gori and flank Mauro Bergamasco. They were also awarded a penalty try, but this all proved to be consolation points.

Argies will be hard to beat in their backyard. Great result for a team that boasts local amateurs of in the squad. Will be nice to see abfew of these Argentineans in S15 rugby, Contepomi for one could increase the playing stock of either the Rebels or Force and I’m sure the Force and Rebels could use a few heavy argentine forwards upfront.
