Varsity Cup stars to tackle Kings, Namibia
11 Jun 2012
An SA Student team will face the EP Kings and Namibia in June.
Maties head coach Chean Roux will take control of a national student squad, which is made up of players who impressed during this year’s Varsity Cup. The team will play against the EP Kings in Port Elizabeth on 19 June and will face Namibia in Windhoek on 23 June.
No players from Varsity Cup champions Tuks have been considered because of their match against College Rovers in the Club Champions’ Challenge, which is scheduled for 22 June in Durban.
There will be one change to the SA Student squad after the fixture against the Kings as Pukke centre Joubert Engelbrecht will replaced by NMMU’s Howard Mnisi. This is because the former won’t be available for the trip to Port Elizabeth as he is a member of the SA Barbarians (North) team to face England on 19 June.

Good additional net to catch any talent that slipped through at the junior levels.
Kings will be wise to have a close look and perhaps get some new talent for next year’s Super 15 disaster.
