well guys i agree with all of you -you speak truth.But lets go one step backwards here-the sponsorship deals that allow this to happen should never have been signed and the result is that the bulk of south Africans cannot watch their national team play live.
what has driven this-GREED.
We have to make do with seconds (if we are lucky) then we have to totally withdraw from society for several hours so we don’t know the score so as not to ruin the game-o then my son is so tired he is in bed already.

@GaB(GaB)-5: Well said - when I read about it in the papers (currently living in Spain) I was flabbergasted. Certain events should always be on national tv and any tests where the national team of a country plays should be televised live by the free to air channels in the country. Supersport should be ashamed of themselves.

@Slumtown – You are 100% correct, it is a total load of ***** that the nation cannot watch their national team play. It is disgrace that endorsements, sponsors etc came well and truly before the fan that pays for them. It is hardly surprising Rugby is viewed the way it is when a massive percentage of SA citizens cannot watch the game. It makes a mockery of the castle ad where all manner of supporters are gearing up for a game when in reality none of them can actually watch it.

And before anyone starts with their bs about free markets etc – we arent talking super 14 here – its the NATIONAL team – nation building stuff – not only for the few who are welathy enough to own a decoder. Funny how we just accept all the cr@p that gets shoved down our throats nowadays.

cant believe this crud – back when I was a kid all Bok matches were always on SABC for free for everyone – now all of a sardine Supersport has all rights and others have to show it 5 hours later? What a load of horsecrock! Supersport should be buying rights off SABC – what a disgrace when you cant watch your national team for free on your effing tv set which you pay a fee for anyway. Disgrace all round.
