Baby Bok coach Dawie Theron has made three changes to his starting line-up for the Junior World Championship semi-final against Argentina on Sunday.
There are two injury-enforced changes, which see wing Tshotsho Mbovane and hooker Mark Pretorius promoted to the run-on side for the clash at Newlands. They come in for Patrick Howard (hamstring) and James Thomas (facial fracture) respectively, who will play no further part in the tournament as they’ll spend several weeks on the sidelines.
Hooker Francois Marias, who replaced Thomas in the SA U20 squad, provides cover on the bench.
Tighthead prop Olivier Kebble has been relegated to the reserves after a poor scrumming performance against England last Tuesday, and Maks van Dyk will wear the No 3 jersey.
Flank Wiaan Liebenberg and flyhalf Tony Jantjies have recovered from wrist and leg injuries respectively, which kept them out of the match against England. They take loose forward Khaya Majola and utility back Marias Schmidt’s spots on the wood.
Outside centre William Small-Smith retains the captaincy in Liebenberg’s extended absence from the starting XV.
