Foley handed ultimatum by Tahs bosses
27 Jun 2012
Coach Michael Foley’s job at the Waratahs is riding on the team’s results in their final two matches.
On Tuesday, Foley was called to the Waratahs board to explain the Sydney side’s rotten run of results in the 2012 Super Rugby competition. They are currently ranked 11th on the overal log, and are on a six-game losing streak.
The board demanded to know how Foley intended to reverse the Waratahs’ fortunes. According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the board will be watching the final two matches against the Brumbies and Reds closely, and a decision on whether to fire or retain Foley will be made after that latter match.

Tahs coaching job is a poisoned chalice. Many forget even the great Ewan Mckenzie couldn’t win anything with them when he had basically half the wallabies side. Theres something wrong with their culture from a ‘hunger’ point of view. The desire’s just not there…the drive. Sydney have always felt ‘entitled’. Right from the days when they tried so hard to block The Brumbies entering super rugby, their the arrogant big brother who actually has no reason to be arrogant
