The Sharks were likely out the minute they got snotted by the Lions. That was the game that mattered. A simple win against the Lions (every other team has done it) and they would likely have secured a home quarterfinal at least or a conference winning home semi at most). They rocked up thinking they had already won. So typical of this Sharks generation. Once again, they are their own worst enemies. No sympathy this time.

Scrapping for 6th place means nothing. 6th place is useless. 6th place is mediocrity. No team finishing 6th will EVER win the tournament – not even the Crusaders last year could win an away quarterfinal, and away semi and an away final. 6th place is nothing to cheer about. It is no victory.
