Blackadder hopes for double boost

Crusaders stars Kieran Read and Israel Dagg are likely to return for Friday’s crucial game against the Chiefs but Dan Carter may not be risked.

Coach Todd Blackadder told Fairfax News that he was optimistic about the inclusion of Read (concussion) and Dagg (ankle), but revealed that Carter is ‘touch and go’. The All Blacks flyhalf still hasn’t recovered from a hamstring injury sustained in the build-up to the third Test against Ireland.

Carter is likely to make his return to action in the Crusaders’ final league match against the Force.

    desperation station

read is getting some karma back

time is catching up to reechee, cant believe he let that useless laaitie bleyendaal convince him to go for the kick at poles instead of going for a lineout and getting closer to the canes line for either a drop, 2nd penalty or a chance to score.

Other than not having enough time, of course.

SA have had their karma every time they meet their Black masters.

was time really up for them?
    did he ask the ref?
still any number of other options should have been considered with that penalty before giving it to bleyendaal.

    Mouth watering encounter.
Taumalolo (sp) vs Owen Franks just one of the head to head mini contests I’ll be keeping an eye on

30secs left on the clock. So it comes down to the judgement of a rugby blogger watching a tv screen and the most successful Captain in the history of the sport. Tough call.

Well Richie is only new at the captaincy thing so maybe he forgot.
Anyway Richie has mind control, he dont ask the ref how much time to go, he tells the ref how much time left.

I’m wanting the Crusaders to finish fifth and the Bulls to end in fourth spot so they can battle them at Loftus, seek and destroy mission. No use playing at the spartan RL stadium in Christchurch need to take on the enemy and crush them on their own turf.
