    See Lambie out for Fridays game. Still struggling with the ankle injury. Sharks chances have dipped now with quite a few out injured. Alberts, Sykes and Lambie all out injured.

    Bulls could very well win this and get themselves a home quarter and a semi against Stormers at Newlands. Probably the best scenario for them as they wont have to head off to NZ to play in the play offs. If Bulls do face either Canes or Saders at Loftus they will win that game, if they have to travel to NZ to face them then think they wont make it. So If Bulls do beat my Sharks will probably be the best scenario for saffa teams having two teams that can hold a semi and a quarter final.

    Go Sharks. Still hope my team beats the Bulls. My teams chances of making the play offs is really very slim, but really still hope we can beat the Bulls. Going to be tough without some of our star players.

    Robert Ebersohn won’t miss any tackles on Saturday with Barry Geel’s calming influence on his inside.

    @Puma(Puma)-2: 3 big blows for the Sharks! Although Deysel is a great replacement for Alberts and Pieter-Steph du Toit for Sykes.
    I would rather play Ludik at 15 then Viljoen

    Bulls and Sharks need to hope that the Reds lose on saturday. This will help them both make the play-offs.

  • 15.ufo: Reply to this comment

    will have to go for the sharks this weekend…

    “for the greater good of south african rugby” of course… so that we possibly get three teams into the playoffs…

    interesting to see tony johnson postulating that the current system makes it easier for the weakest conference to get three teams into the playoffs… funny how he never mentioned this last year under the same system…

    :lol:

    @ufo(ufo)-15: is that what he said? i heard him talking but wasn’t paying much attention until he got to the point that australia’s no.1 team is some points behind some teams in 3rd position in the other conferences and was wondering what us south africans think about it now as we apparently were vociferous backers of at least one team from each conference making the playoffs regardless of points!

    that i was surprised about!

    Bulls.

    Let’s shove the “greater good of South African rugby” up their trumpets.

    @Sasuke(Sasuke)-17:

    sure will be…

    @Transformation(Transformation)-18:

    yes he did… he also said that it was south africa who insisted on the each conference winner being guaranteed a playoff… yet i heard greg peters say that the TV (damn minds gone blank about their name…) insisted that each country gets a playoff to maintain viewer interest in each territory… so seems tony speaking phony…

    These stormers supporters won’t see any glory from their side this year,the only glory these debauched,bent,backbiting,speedo wearing ladyboys will get is down at their local gloryhole.

    In all honesty, the Sharks should still beat the Bulls…..If the borderline pathetic, boring,gaylord,weak and undeserving Stormers could do it at Loftus (with a B team, weak scrum, kuk loosies and zero backline zip) the brilliant Sharks should just have to pitch up on time to take this.

    :)

    If the Sharks lose to the Bulls, all this talk of the Sharks brilliance and being ‘better’ than the Stormers ends. If the Sharks lose, it means quite simply they are kuk. (And if I hear the injury excuse, I am going to puke)

    Well Bakkies goodluck then… Im sure you will be the first to congratulate the Sharks if they do??

  • 35.ufo: Reply to this comment

    all being equal and playing to their full potential the bulls and sharks would beat most teams on any given day… playing each other i would normally go for the home side of the two… without lambie and alberts the sharks are considerably weaker IMO… and that could negate the homefield advantage of the sharks…

    and the bulls have proven in the past that they are about the only south african team that really knows how perform when it really does count… so… no offense intended to sharks fans… but i do expect the bulls to win…

    so have to support the sharks in the hope of them qualifying for the the playoffs too… :wink:

  • 36.wpstormerbok: Reply to this comment

    Sharks to take it.

    They’ll probably take quick line-outs to minimize Bulls threat there, run back those long kicks, disrupt Hougie at ruck time so M.Steyn will be deeper in the pocket than he usually is.

    At ruck time I’m expecting Bismarck to cause some big head aches there and of course Sharkies will have almost guaranteed gain line advantage in mid field with Frans Steyn there, not to mention his 50 meter penalty kicks should it get tight.

    Sharkies by 5, unless they choke, like vs Lions.
