The Hurricanes will be hoping that Cory Jane comes through a late fitness test to play in the do-or-die derby against the Chiefs.
The Hurricanes need a big win over the log leaders to give themselves a chance of qualifying for the play-offs. Jane is coming off an eight-week layoff, but should be ready for this vital clash.
The All Blacks wing has been bracketed with Alapati Leiua in the starting side. Another player who will need to pass a fitness test is scrumhalf Chris Eaton. If Eaton doesn’t come through, Frae Wilson will start.
What is for certain is that All Blacks loose forward Victor Vito will start at No 8.
