Read injury results in McCaw move

Richie McCaw will captain the Crusaders from the No 8 position this Saturday as Kieran Read is unavailable with a rib injury.

While Read should be fit for the play-offs, he will take no part in the match against the Force. McCaw will start at No 8 with Matt Todd replacing him at openside flank.

Sam Whitelock is dropped to the bench while Tom Donnelly partners Luke Romano in the second row. Adam Whitelock moves into the centres to replace Robbie Fruean and Sean Maitland starts on the right wing.
