Ruan Botha has replaced the injured lock Franco van der Merwe for the Lions’ final game against the Bulls.

Van der Merwe has been ruled out, robbing the Lions of a leader and lineout manager in the pack. The Lions are already without a number of first choice players in their tight five with the likes of CJ van der Linde and Bandise Maku on the injured list.

Coach Johan Ackermann has otherwise opted to keep the same starting XV that fronted the Rebels last week.

    This dragon is the real deal. At 2.04m and 115kg he has the physical stuff as well as mental strength to root out the average Bekker from the Bok setup for good.
