Mitchell hearing drags on
19 Jul 2012
John Mitchell’s disciplinary hearing will continue into next week and the Lions are only expected to announce the outcome in September.
The Lions coach was suspended during the league campaign after players complained about his brutal management style. Mitchell was expected to learn his fate this week, but it’s now emerged that the hearing will take longer than anticipated.
According to Business Day, the hearing will continue into next week as the Lions players are called in to give their accounts. Lions acting CEO Ruben Moggee said that it would ‘be a while’ before this matter was concluded and that nothing would be finalised before September.

@wait for it, wait for it…(i_love_u_bakkiesbotha)-3: it’s called TRANSparency

i feel for mitch…
this is nothing shy of a lynchmob… very distasteful… they’re treating him with absolute disdain… hell even murderers in sa get better treatment…
if mitchell was anywhere near as bad as they say why has it taken this long to complain about him…?
why didn’t they complain after the CC win…
always amazes me how quickly people turn on each other and hang someone out to dry…
i back the lions and have always called for them to be retained in super rugby and still hope that’s the case…
but acid mine water is not the only thing stinking up jodi right now…
19 Jul 2012, 11:01 am
jodi = JOZI

really makes me angy that people have no personal integrity, pride and decency to do the right thing and where necessary fall on swords if needs be.

@ufo(ufo)-7: i want to know, who did mitch start smacking around deon van rensburg, waylon murray, ross cronje?
19 Jul 2012, 11:24 am
The Boks need this man. He can:
a) Break the news to Spies
b) Banish the MILF hoodoo hanging over the Bulls
19 Jul 2012, 11:26 am
@Transformation(Transformation)-10: Probably CJ. That guy’s about as hard as an ice cream on a hot day.
19 Jul 2012, 11:28 am
Brutal or not. why must Mitch get a big payday for doing a **** job.
19 Jul 2012, 11:29 am
@Transformation(Transformation)-10:
hehehe…
it’s not who he smacked… it’s where he smacked them…
the most painful part of a human being…
their ego…!
hell… rugby’s a tough game and tough training has always been a part of it…
our national mob mentality of pulling someone down and then all screamin’ and hollerin’ and kickin’ and stampin’ on the poor farmer while he’s down is something i’ll never understand…
this is the guy who delivered the CC to the union… more silver wear than they (or WP) have enjoyed in years… this is not how you treat anyone…
lions can play great rugby as we’ve seen recently and last year.. their position this year is solely down to injuries… imo…
if he has indeed acted counter to normal labour laws or traditional rugby lore… then pul him aside put a bug in his ear and a boot up his backside and tell him to deliver…
but this smells of a scripted sideswipe to save having to pay him out… why would they get rid of their most successful coach in over a decade…?
19 Jul 2012, 11:30 am
farmer = farker
damn autocorrect…!! ($%^*@$#%^)
19 Jul 2012, 11:32 am

I’d slap Deon v Rensburg for what he did against the Brumbies with an open line & no one in front of him
19 Jul 2012, 11:41 am
well, heard some rather disturbing info on exactly why they want to get rid of Mitchell.
and it has nothing to do with treating the players harshly.
19 Jul 2012, 11:47 am
@trupisero(trupisero)-19:
well then tell us what that is trupi…

Jaco Peyper better not FuckUp on Saturday. I don’t have Mafia friends or anything. He’s a mind control subject, programmed to destroy Canterbury in their 17th Crusade. Rugby’s Sirhan Sirhan if you like
19 Jul 2012, 11:52 am
Well let’s hope he does.
If only to shut cockbreaths like you up.

@viewer(viewer)-24: What’s the bulls’ favourite colour? What is WP’s favourite movie?
Dorothy may be a friend of his.
All this unsubstantiated of course…
19 Jul 2012, 12:01 pm
@trupisero(trupisero)-26:
then why put it out there bud…?
speculation and reliability and accuracy of information never stopped anyone posting all manner of outlandish theories about rugby, life, the universe or anyone who inhabits it…
qualify what you say with… “it may not be accurate but i heard…”
19 Jul 2012, 12:02 pm
@26 Trupisero, you may say “allegedly” & then continue. Waiting
19 Jul 2012, 12:03 pm
@trupisero(trupisero)-26:
maybe other people have heard the same or other things and can substantiate or disprove what you heard…?
19 Jul 2012, 12:04 pm
@trupisero(trupisero)-27:
that sound like a far out aspersion to me.
even for the soap opera that is lions rugby.
i thought he has wife and kids?
why would he chance some naughty, naughty with full grown rugby players?
that would be risky for physical health
19 Jul 2012, 12:04 pm

19 Jul 2012, 12:08 pm
@wait for it, wait for it…(i_love_u_bakkiesbotha)-31: just saying what I’ve heard…not sure about wife and kids, know he lived with Wayne Taylor when he was stabbed, still living with another chap, not sure if it is Taylor.
19 Jul 2012, 12:08 pm
@27 Allegedly he’s a ****?
19 Jul 2012, 12:10 pm
@ufo(ufo)-37: In itself it shouldn’t…depends how you behave I suppose?
The headline “Mitchell in huis gesteek” may carry new meaning

As I said, it may all be a load of bollocks….I certainly wouldn’t have thunk it.
I’d rather assume its all bullsh!t to be fair.

And he likes to wear gumboots.
Which is a no no unless you are a farmer or a miner.
