@FawltyRich-20: Meyer Bosman reminds me a bit of Pieter Rossouw in his twilight years at the Stormers. Albeit a legend in his prime, a sh#t show ensued every time Pieter touched the ball in the latter part of his career. Rod Kafer commented on Saturday that a 'sniper in the Brisbane crowd took out Meyer B' to floor the big giraffe.

it will be highly irresponsible of plumtree if they play jordaan not 100% and he aggravates the injury, this is why teams have DEPTH…

@pokkel-6: Remember that he started the U/20 semi-finals as well with a heavily strapped hamstring, only to leave the field after a short while. IMO it will be a risk including him in the match 22 unless he is 100% (which he surely can't be)

I thought Louis Ludik made a huge statement on Saturday, on attack and defense. A bit like Kankowski did the previous week. Even if Lambie were fit, it would be hard to justify dropping Ludik. For me, the MOM in the Reds game was a toss up between Ludik and JPP.

Ludik will be fine. In fact he’s probably been one of the most improved Sharks players in the late season.
Esp in defence, pulled off a couple of great, try saving tackles against the Reds.

Would love Jordaan to be ready but how long is this hammy going to continue to give him hassles?
In my experience, once a hammy starts continually tweaking like this, it becomes very difficult to fix. Usually a long layoff and rehab process is required.

Funny thing is a news24 article says exactly the oposite of this

Cape Town – The Sharks are sweating over the availability of centre Paul Jordaan ahead of their Super Rugby semi-final against the Stormers at Newlands this weekend.

Die Burger reports that the Durbanites are nevertheless optimistic that Jordaan will recover from the hamstring injury he picked up against the Reds over the weekend. He formed a formidable centre partnership with Tim Whitehead and also scored a spectacular try in Brisbane to help his team win 30-17.

However, it looks less likely that fullback Patrick Lambie will recover from his ankle problems in time.

Coach John Plumtree also stressed that the travel factor can’t be used as an excuse for the Stormers game.

“As the week progresses everyone will start feeling better and by Saturday they will be raring to go.

“We obviously have to be clever in our preparations. Everyone talks about the travel factor, but we knew we’d have to travel if we were to make the playoffs, the only issue was, whereto.

“I think it’s a long road, but it’s nice to come home and the guys are really upbeat about their prospects.”

The clash at Newlands kicks off at 17:05 on Saturday

@Sasuke-5: Hoping he is fit to play though not 100% sure yet. That injury seems to be lingering now. He only played for 40min on Saturday. If we do win on Saturday we will need him for the next game as well.

It is a blow if we lose Jordaan. Who fills in at inside centre? We only have Bosman and that could be a problem as he also covers fh.
