Whitehead to miss Hamilton decider

Tim Whitehead has been ruled out of the Super Rugby final with a broken hand but Pat Lambie and Paul Jordaan have passed fitness tests.

Whitehead sustained the injury in last Saturday’s semi-final against the Stormers. The Sharks are now without two No 12 options (Frans Steyn is ineligible), and so Meyer Bosman could start at inside centre against the Chiefs.

Lambie (ankle) and Jordaan (hamstring) didn’t feature last week, but are expected to play in Hamilton.

Sharks touring squad: Tendai Mtawarira, Bismarck du Plessis, Jannie du Plessis, Willem Alberts, Anton Bresler, Keegan Daniel (c), Marcell Coetzee, Ryan Kankowski, Charl McLeod, Frederic Michalak, Lwazi Mvovo, Meyer Bosman, JP Pietersen, Louis Ludik, Craig Burden, Wiehahn Herbst, Steven Sykes, Jean Deysel, Jacques Botes, Odwa Ndungane, Riaan Viljoen, Patrick Lambie, Paul Jordaan.

    Once again congrats to the Sharks on a great win on Saturday. Unlucky Stormers but we need to improve next year. I would start with a new backline coach.

    Also why all this Stormers news on Keo today? ( I am a Stormers fan, i dont want to hear about why we lost. We lost and finish) Why such a silly poll also? It is obvious, we lost against a better team.

    My 2c for the Sharks. Lambie and JP will be an awesome centre pair with JP helping out lambie to take on the big SBW.

    WC.. EC .. GP and FS… ask the Sharkshit management team where most of their rejuvenating talent portfolio comes from…
