Super Rugby preview – Final
3 Aug 2012
JON CARDINELLI and RYAN VREDE analyse the key match-ups and pick the winner of the title.
So the boys got a zero from two return last week, backing the Crusaders’ pedigree in the first semi and the Stormers’ defensive excellence in the second.
This week someone’s going to be right, with Vrede giving it to the hosts comfortably and JC, for the third successive year, backing the underdog. Vrede hopes that it’s third time lucky for Cardinelli. A Sharks win would be glorious, wouldn’t it?
CHIEFS vs SHARKS, HAMILTON, SATURDAY 09:35
KEO.CO.ZA SUCCESS RATE
VREDE: 88/124 (71%)
JC: 91/124 (73%)
WHY THE CHIEFS ARE FAVOURITES:
JC: The Chiefs must be feeling the pressure. They will enjoy home advantage this Saturday while the Sharks will be at a significant disadvantage given their taxing travel schedule. The expectation to win will be enormous. If Dave Rennie’s side were to lose this match, it would go down as one of the biggest chokes in sporting history. Even if the Sharks had come into this match well-rested, the Chiefs would hold the edge given the balance between their attack and defence. They may not boast many All Blacks in their pack, but the forwards have been excellent in terms of laying the platform and exhibiting the handling skills needed to play a high-tempo game. And in the halfbacks, they have the decision-making nous to hurt the best defences. The Sharks haven’t been consistent in this regard, and it won’t help that they will be forced to make further changes to their midfield now that Tim Whitehead is unavailable. Sonny Bill Williams will benefit from a strong forward platform, and take his side beyond the gainline to set up further attacking chances. On defence, the Chiefs boast a great record and watch for their terrific line speed, it should cut down the Sharks’ momentum. All in all, they’re an 80-minute side, and even if the game is in the balance in the final quarter you’d back the Chiefs to win it, as this is when the Sharks will tire.
VREDE: I had reservations about their ability to match the Crusaders’ outstanding forwards in set and general play last week, but their heavies were outstanding, sustaining their effort through 80 minutes. Their victory will be built on a performance that calls on that strength once more, with Kane Thompson, Tanerau Latimer, Craig Clarke, Ben Tameifuna, and Sona Taumalolo particularly prominent in the tight exchanges, establishing the platform that has been at the heart of their attacking potency. The Sharks’ heavies reached down to somewhere special to produce the defensive performance they did against the Stormers, but 35 000km worth of travel in the last three weeks will reflect in their capacity to resist the Chiefs, particularly in the last quarter. From there the Chiefs’ 9-10-12 combination have offered them every attacking dimension possible. Fatigue will have a telling effect on the Sharks’ attacking play as well, with their key strike runners to be blunted by the abrasive, organised and accurate Chiefs.
WHY THE SHARKS ARE CAPABLE OF DEFYING EXPECTATIONS:
JC: I called the Stormers to win in the 2010 final and the Crusaders to win in the 2011 decider (two away wins in Super Rugby finals) – so to say I’m a dreamer who believes that the fairytale ending is possible is an understatement. The Sharks have certainly given me good cause to believe a win in Hamilton is well within their power. Their victory in Cape Town last week highlighted the belief within the side, and while belief alone won’t be enough to win a Super Rugby final, it will certainly give the men from Durban a fighting chance. They are going to fade in the latter stages, so they will need to catch the Chiefs early on and build a substantial lead in the first half. What’s in their favour is their superior scrum, lineout and breakdown exponents, and so it would be wiser to force the Chiefs to play a tighter game. They also have a master tactician in flyhalf Freddie Michalak, who will play them into the right areas of the field, and take kickable opportunities be they penalties or drop goals. Finals are typically tighter than league matches, and in this environment the Sharks should prosper. But they have to take their early chances if they are going to end on the right side of the final scoreline.
VREDE’S CALL: I live in hope that the words I’m about to type next reflect how the match will unfold. If, man it’s a big if, but if the Sharks’ forwards somehow summon the energy, strength, clarity of thought and raw desperation to boss the gainline, they will force the Chiefs to revert to a cavalier approach. Then it’s game on. The Chiefs’ vulnerabilities have been exposed a couple of times when pinned in their half, and a platform that would allow Frederic Michalak, Charl McLeod and Pat Lambie to drive their side into Chiefs territory, then force infringements through pressure defence, is essential. Michalak has kicked superbly and can steadily grow a lead through his boot if given opportunities. The Sharks have also consistently shown their ability to convert scoring opportunities into tries. Their aim should be a 12-point lead going into the last 20 minutes. Then it’s down to their desire and resolve.

@sharks_lover-4: hahaha. You beat me to it.
Excellent team. Just hoping that Lambie and Jordaan are totally over their injuries.
2 Aug 2012, 11:36 am
@sharks_lover-4:
sharks will definately need a 5-2 forward split on the bench
2 Aug 2012, 11:37 am
@sharks_lover-4: Okay never read your starting team. Thought you had put up the team that has just been announced.
Lambie is at fb and Jordaan on at inside centre.
@THE MAULER-5: Your thoughts with Jordaan at 12 and Lambie starting at fb? Hope they both over their injuries.
2 Aug 2012, 11:37 am
Jordaan at 12 worries me…

@Brigadier Van Zyl-7: Sharks team has been announced and we have gone with a 5-2 split.

02 August 2012 (11:24) – The news that The Sharks had lost Tim Whitehead to a hand fracture against the Stormers after their semi-final match, was off-set by the return from injury of Pat Lambie and Paul Jordaan who have both been included in the starting line-up for Saturday’s Final.
Sharks Coach John Plumtree has been able to consistently name the same pack over the Final Series which obviously boosts the team’s confidence when that pack is delivering such commanding performances, and they will be asked to put in one last massive effort to lay the platform for the backs in this potentially history-making game.
Jordaan at inside centre is a straight swap for the injured Whitehead, while Lambie will start at fullback with Riaan Viljoen playing off the bench, with an otherwise unchanged line-up, one that differs significantly to the team that lost by four points to the Chiefs in the pool stages.
With a near full strength side to pick from, pretty much unheard of at the climax of a long tournament, John Plumtree explains that it does add to the belief that the team can do the job on Saturday.
“There has been some continuity in selection which has been great, at this time of the competition it’s really important, but at the same time, we’ve had some injuries as well, particularly to our midfield.
“So it’s fantastic having Pat Lambie and Paul Jordaan coming back into contention. We’re a bit lucky with the backs because we’ve lost a couple through injury, so having some come back at this stage is vital. Being able to select the same pack for the past few weeks has been great.”
Bismarck du Plessis has shrugged off added meaning to this game by virtue of the fact that he is also making his 100th appearance in Super Rugby for The Sharks. Certainly, a win will make celebrating his achievement that much sweeter.

@THE MAULER-9: Think that is where he played at school. He is a classy player and his defence was world class for the U20 Boks against England.
2 Aug 2012, 11:40 am
Team is kept the same with just Jordaan at 12 and Lambie at FB… So continuity…
2 Aug 2012, 11:42 am
@FawltyRich-3:
Don’t forget Queensland in 1994… heart breaking for a 9 year old!
and that Lions won it in 1993 and lost in the final in 1995!
2 Aug 2012, 11:42 am
Puma yeah He played there at Grey but against the Reds he slipt a few but at least the cover defense was good… SBW is someone who needs to be watched very closely… But Jordaan on attack is a very dangerous player… Great step…
2 Aug 2012, 11:42 am
@THE MAULER-14: If Lambie and Jordaan can play the full 80min we okay buddy. Just worried that either of them could come off with their injury niggles.
2 Aug 2012, 11:45 am
@THE MAULER-16: If Jordaan’s hammie does not play up I feel he will be great there.
2 Aug 2012, 11:46 am
Go Bissie. Make your 100th SuperRugby cap for the Sharks a special one to be remembered forever. Bring back that cup.
2 Aug 2012, 11:48 am
Yeah Puma but I think we have the right back up on the bench… Bosman can cover almost everywhere and Viljoen can do 10 and anywhere in the back 3
2 Aug 2012, 11:52 am
Interesting that both Deysel and Botes are on the bench.
2 Aug 2012, 11:54 am
David I think it will help to bring those 2 on with fresh legs in the last 20… Could help…
2 Aug 2012, 11:55 am
do it sharks
do it for justice
do it for rugby lovers the world over
2 Aug 2012, 11:55 am
@THE MAULER-20: Yes for sure both cover almost everywhere. We just don’t have cover for sh. Excellent bench though.
Jeez now excited for Saturday. Wish it was here now…………hahaha.
Going to be a tough but we can do it. If not still very proud of our boys.
2 Aug 2012, 11:56 am
@David-21: They were on the bench last week as well David. We need the fresh legs for later. Excellent bench really.
2 Aug 2012, 12:00 pm
Proteas lose the toss.
No Swann.
Grass on the deck.
Come on boys.
2 Aug 2012, 12:01 pm
@THE MAULER-22:
That’s what I thought, as well. I just wonder who they’ll replace. It looks like Coetzee and Keegan, unless Deysel is also there as lock cover.
2 Aug 2012, 12:04 pm
Good team, shows the game they intend playing, part of me wonders though? will this team start? I think the midfield will be slightly weaker in defense, but far quicker on the attack, will the midfield swop around during play?
SO many questions
2 Aug 2012, 12:06 pm
@Puma-13: you’re comparing defending against SBW to scrambling after English U20 boys? hhahahahaha
tenuous!
2 Aug 2012, 12:08 pm
K-A-K nervous… Dig the team… Hope we play 80min of hardcore, inspired rugby!
Kingspark 2007 was gut-wrenching. This weekend will make up for all the pain.
Black & White – nothing else matters.
Sharks forever!
2 Aug 2012, 12:09 pm
@Transformation-29: SBW who????? hehe.
I think Jordaan will do just fine bud. He is a classy player.
2 Aug 2012, 12:11 pm
@Puma-31: i know he is a good player but this is a stern test!
2 Aug 2012, 12:11 pm
Looking good – bit surprised about Jordaan at 12 rather than 13, but glad to have him on the field. Sharks by a whisker! Just please don’t let them try to run down the clock in front of their own tryline like they did against the Stormers – the Chiefs know how to score tries!
2 Aug 2012, 12:13 pm
@kaksioek-33: Dont forget players can swop around during defense! and also who says this team will be the one running onto the park??
2 Aug 2012, 12:14 pm
@sharks_lover-28: We never had much choice. Either Jordaan or Bosman. Though Bosman’s defence has been very good in the last few games he has come on to play.
I think we will be okay bro. We have a very good bench as well.
One positive is Jordaan and Lambie should be fresh. Both have not played a lot recently.
2 Aug 2012, 12:15 pm
David… Sykes is the main lock cover and Deysel will cover lock and Loose forward… So yeah thats quite spot on…
2 Aug 2012, 12:15 pm
@Transformation-32: I know. We had no choice really. Either Jordaan, Lambie our Bosman there.
Who would you have had from those players?
2 Aug 2012, 12:25 pm
@Puma-37: Look no doubt Plum is taking a risk ,and going full out
Thus the bench cover as is
2 Aug 2012, 12:34 pm
@Puma-37: lambie at 12 if his ankle is 100% – solid defence and a steady decision making, can straighten line and take on defenders.
jordaan & jpp to me are not dependable defenders – even though jpp made enormous spot tackles vs reds…on attack the 2 of them might rip sbw and horrell a new one
2 Aug 2012, 12:35 pm
@Transformation-39: I actually agree transie
I would of had lambie 12 and Jorddan 13 with JPP 14, 13 and 14 can swop around where needed
2 Aug 2012, 12:38 pm
@Transformation-39: If you see post#4 that i posted just before the actual was, you will see i have Lambie @ 12, reckon it would be far more defensively sound
And like i said JOrdaan and JP can change around at will
2 Aug 2012, 12:45 pm
@Transformation-39: I would have gone with Lambie too bud. Good on defence.
We just have to see how it goes. Jordaan is a excellent player. We just have to hope it works. Pity Timmy got injured.
2 Aug 2012, 12:54 pm
Interesting selections. Plum is certainly going the ballsy, attacking route, because that is probably the most exciting backline the Sharks could put out for this one. Jordaan has slipped a few tackles this season, so SBW may have a crack at the 10-12 channel (re-phrase that – will definitely have many cracks at it!). However apparently 12 is easier to defend that 13 as it’s more front on and narrower channels, and I’ve got no doubt that Jordaan and Michalak’s will give it every last drop of effort they’ve got. If the Sharks pack can dominate and sustain an 80 minute effort, I think they’ll take it.
2 Aug 2012, 12:55 pm
@THE MAULER-9: More than Bosman at 12? Now that worries me.
2 Aug 2012, 13:01 pm

Frikken’ nervous! I’m thinking Plum will pull another rabbit out the hat and this won’t be the run-on team! I would’ve preferred Lambie at 12! Still think we can do this if we pitch up with our top game on the day!
2 Aug 2012, 13:16 pm

Please stop whining about travel. A flight is neither physically demanding nor mentally or emotionally taxing. Time zone issues are very manageable.
Home advantage matters. Lack of practice time matters. Flying in the night before would be problematic. Not managing the teams diet and sleeping regimes would matter. But travel itself is really not that big a deal.
Having flown hundreds of thousands of miles in my career, including multiple occasions when I have done two trans-Atlantic round-trips in a week, and multiple occasions when I have done back to back red-eye flights with a day of work in between, I can state with assurance that if you treat flights as an opportunity to rest, sleep, read, catch a movie, and generally recharge, then long haul flights are as much a blessing as a curse. If you use the flight time badly then that’s different. But we know that professional sportsmen will stay off the alcohol, get sleep, use the time to study opponents and plan tactics etc. Don’t we?
Let’s assume that the teams are equally fresh and motivated, that the Chiefs have home advantage and that the Sharks will not have as much time as they would like for physical run-outs. Then lets talk about the rugby.
But please stop the bleating about how many miles teams have traveled.

The commentating on other sports was at times also disapointing.
The worst was during the cycling road race when the commentator said that team GB can still chase down the breakaway group as they were only 59 seconds behind – the next moment the 1,2 km to go sign came up- we all know Wiggins is brilliant but ……..at the pace they were going he would not have caught them even if he was driving a Ferrari.

@lockforward.com-62:
Jet lag, medically referred to as desynchronosis, is a physiological condition which results from alterations to the body’s circadian rhythms resulting from rapid long-distance transmeridian (east–west or west–east) travel on a jet aircraft. It is classified as one of the circadian rhythm sleep disorders.
The condition of jet lag may last several days until one is fully adjusted to the new time zone, and a recovery rate of one day per time zone crossed is a suggested guideline. The issue of jet lag is especially pronounced for airline pilots, crew, and frequent travelers. Airlines have regulations aimed at combating pilot fatigue caused by jet lag.
2 Aug 2012, 14:07 pm
@lockforward.com-62:
Jet lag is a chronobiological-related problem[1], similar to issues often induced by shift work. When traveling across a number of time zones, the body clock will be out of synchronization with the destination time, as it experiences daylight and darkness contrary to the rhythms to which it has grown accustomed: the body’s natural pattern is upset, as the rhythms that dictate times for eating, sleeping, hormone regulation and body temperature variations no longer correspond to the environment nor to each other in some cases. To the degree that the body cannot immediately realign these rhythms, it is jet lagged.
The speed at which the body adjusts to the new schedule depends on the individual; some people may require several days to adjust to a new time zone, while others experience little disruption. Crossing one or two time zones does not typically cause jet lag.
The condition is not linked to the length of flight, but to the trans-meridian (west–east) distance traveled. A ten-hour flight from Europe to southern Africa does not cause jet lag, as travel is primarily north–south. A five-hour flight from the east to the west coast of the United States may well result in jet lag.

2 Aug 2012, 14:08 pm
@lockforward.com-62:
The symptoms of jet lag can be quite varied, depending on the amount of time zone alteration, time of day and individual differences. They may include the following:[2]
Headaches
Fatigue, irregular sleep patterns, insomnia
Disorientation, grogginess, irritability
Mild depression
Constipation or diarrhea
2 Aug 2012, 14:09 pm
@lockforward.com-62:
Direction of travel
There seems to be some evidence that for most people, traveling west to east is more disruptive. This may be because most people have a circadian period which is a bit longer than 24 hours, making it easier to stay up later than to get up earlier.[8]
It may also be that flights to the east are more likely to require people to stay awake more than one full night to adjust to the local time zone.

A month ago not many people outside cycling knew about him and now some call him the greatest british sportsman of all time who will soon be knighted. Times are surely changin
2 Aug 2012, 14:31 pm
@cane-98: Oscar P? Yes he is. He won’t shape in the 400 metres, but he will probably run in the 4 X 400m qualifiers as well. Oscar P is the poster child for the Athletics meet, being the 1st disabled athlete to compete on the track. (We also have the honour of having had the 1st disabled athlete to compete in the water at the regular games…Natalie du Toit with the open water swim in Beijing)
Caster’s form has been nowhere coming into the games – but for her, I hope she manages something special.

Wallaby wishes Waratahs want Wayne Smith
DAVID LONG
Last updated 12:59 02/08/2012
Wallaby great Tim Horan has called for the Waratahs to chase Wayne Smith as they search for a new coach.
The Waratahs had an abysmal season under Michael Foley this year, winning just four games and losing 12.
Foley has jumped ship and will coach the Western Force next season and Horan believes the man the Waratahs should target for their 2013 campaign is Smith.
“New South Wales Waratahs are without a coach and they need look no further than the Super Rugby final in Hamilton on Saturday for their target,” Horan said in his column for Sydney’s Daily Telegraph.
“Following the resignation of Michael Foley this week, the first phone call Tahs bosses should make is to Smith.
“The respected Kiwi coach is poised to win a Super Rugby title with the Chiefs less than 10 months after helping the All Blacks win Rugby World Cup 2011.
“On the basis of those two achievements – let alone a strong career CV – it’s clear Smith has all the attributes to get the best out of a Waratahs outfit with plenty of talent, but no confidence.
“Smith is contracted to the NZRU for another season, but has a get-out clause that comes into effect next week.
“He turned down a role under England coach Stuart Lancaster earlier in the year, saying he wanted to stay closer to home and family. Sydney is a lot closer to New Zealand than London.
“NSW should be bold with this opportunity, get on the phone and offer to buy out Smith’s contract if necessary.
“The corporates in Sydney could surely help put together a big financial package, with a pad at Bondi thrown in and a flexible attitude about Smith flying home when he needs to.
“Coaches are the best recruiters, and Smith could lure talent in the right positions to Sydney.”
But while Horan is keen for the Waratahs to chase Smith, it’s probable that Smith would turn down any approach.
Smith would have been the perfect man to take over the Blues for next year, but declined to put his name forward, preferring to continue his work with the Chiefs.
For how long Smith is happy to work as an assistant coach before wanting to take a head coaching job again is uncertain, but publicly he has given no indication of wanting to move away from Hamilton.

It always amazes me how well South African sportsmen manage to do, despite the terrible sports administration in this country. Incompetence, greed and corruption has crept into every facet of life in SA, including sports administration. The individual talent of our top sports men and women must be immense to overcome this and still compete on the world stage, and do as well as they do.
2 Aug 2012, 16:18 pm
Head says Chiefs, heart says Sharks. I think for most South Africans there is no denying that the Sharks are swimming against a very heavy current in this one.
Its only a few very bitter mountain moffie supporters that can’t bring themselves to support the South African side in this clash.
2 Aug 2012, 16:19 pm
@mako-188: that said, there are casualties, like the hockey, football, athletics – to a large extent.

2 Aug 2012, 16:24 pm
@Transformation-190: Sure, I guess the point I am trying to make is; Imagine how good our sport would be if it was properly run? Remove all the gravy train passengers and replace them with people passionat about sport, with the best interests of SA sports at heart and we would be flying!! The interesting thing is that these useless officials are not from any one race either, we have leeches from every demographic grabbing what they can and allowing their incompetence to taint our various sports disciplines.

2 Aug 2012, 16:29 pm
@Dusky-189: Any South African not supporting the Sharks this weekend is a disgrace. Half the Springbok side is playing. Yes the Sharks have a huge mountain to climb and a win has to be viewed as an unlikely result. But are we the kind of people who give up before we even play? I don’t think so!!! Anyone who lets provincialism get in the way of national pride is a sad, sad chop.
2 Aug 2012, 16:29 pm
@mako-192: yup!
2 Aug 2012, 16:35 pm
@mako-195: Oh well, there are a few sad, sad chops here then. There are still people here that are so embittered by last weeks game that they have openly demonstrated support for the Chiefs.
I must say, this is more prolific amongst Stormers fans so I have a tendency to say that had the semi-final in Cape Town gone another way, I probably would be supporting the Chiefs this weekend as well.
South African rugby supporters are heavily provincialistic. They dont want to see any other union excel. The Bulls fans were all bragging that they ended above the Sharks on the log – yet they failed to realize that they did this at the expense of their chances in the qualifying playoff. It’s bonehead mentality.
In general though, at least Bulls fans wish the Sharks well in the final.

No matter how much of an enemy your oppostion province is, they are still South Africans. When any team from another country plays any South African team it should be a no brainer that we support the SA side. I can’t undestand how even the most bitter Stormers supporter would prefer to see the trophy in NZ than in KZN??? Maybe they are just saying so to get a reaction from their ‘traditional enemy’, secretly they will be wearing Sharks undies on the day…

2 Aug 2012, 16:59 pm
@mako-200: I dont think so. I think it might be the other way around. I think a lot of people will express support for the Sharks but in their own selfish, feeble minds they will be hoping the Sharks lose on Saturday. That way another SA union doesn’t get the glory above theirs.
That is what I was saying about this on another thread – just be honest.
The amount of bitter gall spilled here after the weekend was spectacular to say the least. I guess that’s what happens when a bubble or rather a gall bladder bursts !
2 Aug 2012, 17:07 pm
@mako-200: you think if the Stormers were playing in the final guys like Tacitus and Xkreni-WP would be cheering for them? no way jose.
tell you something for free, they’d be cheering for the opposition as a win for them would keep their little exclusive title of being the only saffa team to win a championship…
you think all this hullabaloo we’re making about “if the sharks win in hamilton, it will be the greatest super rugby title win EVER”, is endearing to Tacitus, who cares more about the bulls than even the springboks?

2 Aug 2012, 17:13 pm
This is a colossal task for the Sharks. No team has had such a horrendous route to the final. In the eyes of Sharks supporters they are already champions. Everyone pronounced this team DOA before the Cheetahs game. Yet they defied all the negative conclusion, they defied their bodies and they defied common sense. It’s truly amazing what a strong mind and sheer determination can do. I too, thought they would lose to the Cheetahs. I never dreamed of them getting to the final. Yet they held up a middle finger to their detractors. Not only have they won but they’ve won in style. To get this far after the toughest draw in the comp, a list of injuries longer than my arm, a nightmare travel schedule is a massive achievement they should be immensely proud of.
In my eyes the Sharks are champions for getting this far.
2 Aug 2012, 17:19 pm
@Sydney Shark-207: you’re not a champion UNTIL you win the final, if the nonsense you say above was the case, then the Crusaders team of last year would also be going around calling themselves “champions” based only on the fact that they didn’t play “home” games last year.
the sharks MUST WIN on saturday to be called champions, “nothing else matters”
2 Aug 2012, 17:19 pm
@Sydney Shark-207: I am with you buddy. If you had told me at the beginning of the season that the Sharks would make the top 6, I would have been very satisfied.
If you had told me they would make the semi-final, I would have been overjoyed. But if you told me they would be in the final this year I would have told you that you should check yourself in for electro shock therapy at the nearest psychiatric hospital….
All I wished for at the beginning of the season was that the Sharks would do well enough to avoid the ‘Kings’ debate.
I am actually totally relaxed for this weekends game. All of this is slightly surreal to me and a huge bonus. If the Sharks do win, this will be the kind of story that the ‘underdog movies’ are based on. Extremely unlikely, but the Sharks will be motivated to achieve the impossible.
Come on boys….
2 Aug 2012, 17:21 pm
@Transformation-208: You are stating the obvious chop head. Of course this will be the stance of non-Sharks fans when it suits them. But I have also heard Stormers fans boasting about their performance this year, when in fact – according to you they have achieved F all.
Oh wait – they have the conference trophy….
2 Aug 2012, 17:28 pm
@Dusky-210: the STORMERS aren’t super rugby champions, they are not, they topped the overall conference log. even in the NBA they don’t give rings and the trophy to the team that finished top in regular season, the team that won the PLAYOFFS are the champions!
get with it…sharks as of this moment aren’t champions in an shape or form…they must just beat one more team in 80 min of rugby and they’ll be immortal.
now i’m leaving for gym, so you can swear and namecall all you like just don’t steal my nic
2 Aug 2012, 17:31 pm
@Transformation-211: Yes we know that. We aren’t all as patently dumb as you.
2 Aug 2012, 17:40 pm
@Transformation-208: Eish you’re like a pathetic school boy trying to be a bully. Haha. You don’t even have a team to support and you want to pass judgement on the Sharks? Really sad the lengths some people go to try and ‘piss on our parade’.
As a South African you should be lauding the Sharks achievements for defying all odds and negative criticism and overcoming some truly massive hurdles. Yet hear you are pointing out all of the negatives like a jealous housewife.
Eish, I see provincialism dies very hard in SA. You can guarantee 99% of Kiwis will be backing the Chiefs come Saturday. Yet in SA, its just the Sharks fans and a handful of Bulls backing them.
When the Bulls played in the 2009 final I supported them. I would do the same for the Stormers. Yet because its the Sharks, everyone is acting like a disaster they got to the final. What? The Sharks are in final? No that can’t be right!! There must be something wrong!! They must have paid the ref a million rand! Eish no way this can’t be allowed to happen.
The joke is that the Stormers think they could’ve beaten the Chiefs in a home final? Sorry to burst that bubble but they would’ve been overpowered. I’d rather see an SA team valiantly fall against a foreign team on their soil then see them fail at home in SA.
Going from being pronounced as down-and-outs to title contenders is a massive turnaround that should be applauded and I can tell you that this has earned some respect from our ‘friends’ across the Indian ocean. I even saw a NZ herald article saying how unfair the travel schedule has been to the Sharks.
But ya bru you keep negatively deriding the Sharks, while we’ll keep believing they can achieve the impossible.
2 Aug 2012, 17:42 pm
@Transformation-211: What a sad oke you are. I would love it if the Sharks smacked the smugness out of your head by winning.
2 Aug 2012, 17:44 pm
@Dusky-212: Just a bitter little Kings supporter, though I’ve never seen him say one bad thing about the Stormers. They’ve achieved f all this season yet he puts them up on a pedestal. Pathetic little chop.
2 Aug 2012, 17:48 pm
@Sydney Shark-213: Actually – I wouldn’t support the Stormers in a final. So I am actually just as bad as the feeble minded, bitter mountain moffies.
@Sydney Shark-214: Don’t concern yourself with Transvie. Firstly he has multiple nics and personas on this blog including a female one – so hardly a stable individual and he has very vivid delusions of grandeur.
To boot he supports the Kings……a team which cant even knock out the Pumas or Leopards to get a Currie Cup slot. So – dont worry yourself about what he says about the Sharks.
And he is ultra thick.
2 Aug 2012, 17:52 pm
@Sydney Shark-215: Oh well – what is good for the goose is good for the gander. It suits the Stormers fans this week to say that the Sharks have achieved nothing without silverware, but when this excitement has all died down and we move onto the Currie Cup and next years competition they will recall conveniently how they finished top of the log. Mark my words !
2 Aug 2012, 17:53 pm
@the artist formerly known as gunther
So charming of you, Gunther to find your level and talk cricky with me and a few others.
We all know so much about the sexploits of Smith, Kallis, Gibbs etc. but so little about the cricky exploits of Lance, Lindsey and many more.
It is frustrating sometimes as your words here show, ” fucksticks, wtf?, fuckpants” but it is appreciated.

@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged by Mad Eye Productions-218: You’re not a Sharks fan right ?
2 Aug 2012, 18:05 pm
@Dusky-219: Nope he’s one of the resident Sharks haters. In fact I’ve only ever seen him (or her) post disparaging comments specifically to get a rise out of Sharks fans. Its probably Skop in disguise!
2 Aug 2012, 18:06 pm
@Dusky-219:
If you do not yet know I am a sad Stormer then you never will. Chiefs to win, have I proved my point?
2 Aug 2012, 18:11 pm
Has JC given us the kiss of death to us by backing the Sharks or does that only apply to Keo’s predictions?
Flying out from Sydney tomorrow night. Nerves and apprehension mixed with excitement and anticipation. Whatever happens I hope its a great spectacle of rugby and not a one-sided affair. The Sharks are still champions in my eyes for their sheer determination and mental toughness. The Bulls crumbled and so did the Stormers despite a home semi. Going into this game as underdogs is probably the best label for the Sharks.
SHARRRKKKKSSSSSSS!!!!!!
2 Aug 2012, 18:11 pm
Am I not just a less coarse and more acceptable version of the french bread stuffed into the channel tunnel to stauch the flow, Helen, that was so loved?
A tweak here annd there and presto, the same. She shouted Sharks though.
Watch the innocence now.
2 Aug 2012, 18:11 pm
@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged by Mad Eye Productions-221: Probably Tranny!
2 Aug 2012, 18:13 pm
@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged by Mad Eye Productions-221: So why the referral in your nic to the Sharks ? Are you obsessed ? Seems to me like you are – you called yourself this long before the Sharks annihilated your team in the semi-final.
2 Aug 2012, 18:16 pm
@Sydney Shark-224: I dont know, but the last thing I would call myself is ‘The Stormers are a bunch of premature ej@culating, prancing, parambulating powder poefters’
I would rather not mention ‘Stormers’ in my nic.
What is a ‘Stormer’ anyway ? A loud **** ?
2 Aug 2012, 18:18 pm
@Sydney Shark-224: And why are they hanging around here ? Wasn’t their team emphatically booted from this competition last weekend ?
2 Aug 2012, 18:20 pm
@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged by Mad Eye Productions-223: Andre – is that you ?
2 Aug 2012, 18:41 pm
@Sydney Shark-224: I think Stormer = sticky kak that you cant wipe off. They have hung around here regardless of the fact that the Sharks wiped them off last weekend.
2 Aug 2012, 19:01 pm
@Dusky-227:
This persecution complex you have regarding Stormers supporters being against the Sharks winning on saturday is based on the comments of a couple of Stormers fans. Using these as a straw man to perpetuate your conspiracy rants is rather pitiful to say the least.
As for your claims that the Sharks are somehow approaching legendary status, just look at the facts.
They were the favourites of the SA sides going into the tournament, yet managed to end up in 6th position with 6 losses against the Stormers 2.
They had a playoff against a team which scored less log points than they did.
With their strongest team after players returned from injury, they beat the Stormers who were reduced to playing a hooker at 8, in order to make the final.
Now I’m not saying that they don’t deserve to be in the final, but legends?
I, like the majority of SA fans will hope they beat the Chiefs, but don’t expect us to suddenly become avid Sharks fans.
2 Aug 2012, 19:14 pm
Elviro goes to 100 in style
2 Aug 2012, 19:16 pm
Nice ton Alviro. Great fighting spirit.
2 Aug 2012, 19:17 pm
@David-230: WHAT !? They were the favourites ? In your mind maybe…
Do you think the Stormers injuries despite their week off and home advantage made them weaker than a Sharks team (with its own injury issues) just returning from Australia !? Wow – you do rate the Sharks highly !
Your 2 loss record means fokkol – Stormers are out with a game left to go. Stormers achieved about the same as the Lions did this season – nothing.
I said **** all about ‘legends’. Please direct me to the post by a Sharks fan that said that.
2 Aug 2012, 19:19 pm
@David-230: You guys are so obsessed by the Sharks, you are making up your own stories in your heads already. Its very amusing.
2 Aug 2012, 19:19 pm
@David-230: Hey David. There have been some comments from a few Stormers fans on this site that I find incomprehensible. (Some of the sam by Sharks supporters, mind you..)
I am a loyal Sharks supporter, always have been as I live in KZN.
I disagree with some of your comments though. If the sharks win on saturday it will be a great achievement. In fact just getting to the final has been a big achievement. I don’t think playing a hooker at 8 made you guys lose that game. You could look at your 9/10 axis for that. I am pleased that you will support the Sharks on the day, I wouldn’t expect anyone to suddenly become an avid Sharks fan, but I bet even the Stormers players will be rooting for the Sharks.
2 Aug 2012, 19:22 pm
@mako-235: The okes in Cape Town are so flippin thick, they still cant comprehend how a team that ended 6th beat their beloved Stormers. One stupid doos even said it shouldn’t have been allowed (like the result should have been overturned or something) because a team ending 6th does not deserve to play in the final.
Its the entitlement mentality again. The word ‘deserves’ means something different in South Africa to any other country.
2 Aug 2012, 19:30 pm
Stormers supporter here. Go Sharks!!!!
And now. Dusky, Syndney Shark, Mako etc.
I hope you despicable people don’t even get to watch the game. All you seem to do is bring disgrace to the Sharks brand with your comments here. Read through all 240 odd comments on this article and try find the mountains of disparaging comments made about the Sharks that you imagine are being made. I like the way the Sharks play (more than how the Stormers played this season). But wow, you guys make it hard to like the brand and leave a really bitter taste in the mouth. This doesn’t arise from being beaten by a better team on the day last Saturday (because that is what happened), it arises due to ego centric pr1cks who think that everyone is out to get them. Please grow up and try not make general demeaning comments about all of SA except a “handful of Bulls supporters”. You bring shame only yourself.
2 Aug 2012, 19:32 pm
Too many people are behaving like girl’s blouses.
The Stormers are a great side. The Sharks are a great side. The Stormers lost to a better side on the day. And that’s it.
Any team in this comp has the ability to beat any other side. The Blues beat the Bulls. The Rebels beat the Crusaders. The Lions beat the Sharks. To mention a few. Pressure games are pressure games. The Sharks got it right. That is what this comp is all about. To be able to play the big points in the pressure games.
As many have said on this site, the majority will be behind the Sharks on Saturday. Wanting them to succeed.
Now, Dusky reign your neck in. You’ve been out of the country too long.
2 Aug 2012, 19:33 pm
@Dusky-236: Ha ha, entitlement is quite a South African thing, yes. The Stormers would have deserved to be in the final if they had beaten the Sharks. They couldn’t do it, so out they went. Blaming their #8 hooker is definitely a bit of a reach though. They weren’t complaining about him before the game.
The Sharks really do deserve to be in the final. Perhaps an extra week’s rst between the semi’s and the final would have levelled the playing field a bit. In my heart I believe that the Sharks can still surprise the whole world and pull it off. It means coming out with all guns blazing in the first half and building a lead. Then hanging on wih tired legs in the 2nd half. It is going to be a great game either way, the Sharks won’t just lie down because they have travelled, they are there to win.
2 Aug 2012, 19:41 pm
@PoPe-237: I am not sure what I said to be included in your despicable people comment, yoh, that is harsh! Anyway, the good news is that I will be watching the game on saturday, whether you like it or not. I will be the guy in the front with the Sharks kit on, yelling for my team.
2 Aug 2012, 19:41 pm
Coupla Shark blowhards here
2 Aug 2012, 19:43 pm
@mako-239: Hopefully the Sharks will be up for it.
2 Aug 2012, 19:45 pm
@Dawn-241:
And the naughty thing is they are all blowing each other.
2 Aug 2012, 19:49 pm
@IAAS-243: Dont get excited berg moffie – this is a blog. Nobody is blowing anyone. But if you would like to watch that, book yourself a place in the Stormers change room for next year.
2 Aug 2012, 19:53 pm
@Dawn-241: Hello Dawn. We are busy getting worked up for our final on Saturday, that we got into by beating the necessary teams to do so. You are welcome to join us in our spectator preparations. After all the thread is a preview to the finals.
2 Aug 2012, 19:58 pm
@Dusky-244:
Looks like you camp in front of keo.
Are the chemicals kicking in?
2 Aug 2012, 20:00 pm
@IAAS-246: I got lots of time on my hands at the moment. I dont know what that has to do with chemicals but you appear to have a very active imagination gaylord – so, knock yourself out. Think whatever you want.
2 Aug 2012, 20:00 pm
If you open your Shark Identification guide you will see that although Duskies and Mako are both shark species, they do not interbreed. They don’t even indulge in a bit of petting or blowing. Blowing is something you get in stormy weather, therefore I would consider it Stormers territory, and I bow to your superior experience.
2 Aug 2012, 20:02 pm
@Dusky-244: Why the need to steal my nic time and time again? Do I fascinate you? As far as I know, imitation (although your efforts are poor to say the least) is supposedly flattery, when you do it, it’s just fake (like a mock up Adidas tracksuit)
And then talking to yourself to try and make it seem more legit?
Dude, you are as exposed as a flasher. Except there in your case, there ain’t nothing to see. Don’t blame the cold, blame the roids.
2 Aug 2012, 20:05 pm
@Dusky-228: You are talking to yourself here. Is it a half decent conversation?
2 Aug 2012, 20:06 pm
@Dusky-247:
You mean you’re unemployed.
2 Aug 2012, 20:18 pm
When did dusky get so onbeskof!
2 Aug 2012, 20:33 pm
@Dawn-252: Was he ever not onbeskof? Just asking
because I don’t know how he ‘used to be’.
What I do know is this: His letter to Dr Phil would go something like this:
Doc,
My light stick doesn’t work and my back is full of pimples. Is it because I’m full of shite,
or because I’m full of roids?
Yours in crinkly bollocks,
MMA fighter, Bitter and twisted ex-pat but loyal Tjarks fan and your friend,
Mervin ‘Dusky’ Simmons.
2 Aug 2012, 20:36 pm
Where is skop to sort these sharkshytes out
2 Aug 2012, 20:40 pm
@Dawn-254: Yissis, is that what Skop’s function is? I have always wondered…Getting him to come and sort out the Sharks supporters is a bit like setting your Chihauhua on intruders in your home. Lots of noise, but no sense could possibly come of it.
2 Aug 2012, 20:44 pm
Not all sharks supporters just a crazy few
2 Aug 2012, 20:47 pm
@Dawn-254: Like most internet heavyweight champs
of the world, they can only fight when they are guaranteed a win
They become as confused as Lambie when asked what his best position is, if anyone arrives to challenge the sh y te they spit out. Confusion leads to fear, and fear leads to Dusky wanting to duel at dawn.
Much easier for them to just pull a Copperfield and blow off.
2 Aug 2012, 21:00 pm
@IAAS-251: In your fantasies it seems I am.
2 Aug 2012, 21:01 pm
So, where is the Keo Olympic thread?
All this rugby angst is not good for the Saffa karma!
Seems funny how the ‘haters’ come together to support the Boks when they join up against us Poms!!
2 Aug 2012, 21:02 pm
@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged by Mad Eye Productions.-257: Only South African team left in the competition. If you ask me, it seems its the choking Stormers fans that should ‘blow off’. But, with your obvious obsession with the Sharks – including their name in your nic and all – its hardly surprising you still hang around.
2 Aug 2012, 21:03 pm
@Dawn-252: Ag ou Dawn….just dont drink on your balcony – that’s all
2 Aug 2012, 21:07 pm
@Dusky-258: And I have a starring role in yours it seems…Stealing my nic means I have tickled your fancy (even though it’s wrinkly ***see above***) and crept into your conscience. (Please let me out though, because it really is dark and dingy there, and I’m fed up of listening to techno tunes on loop, and your rather weak ‘thought of the day’: ((and in your case it really IS one thought a day)).
Release me…
2 Aug 2012, 21:10 pm
@Dusky-258:
You’re making your name tottie now. Oops, you already have. Call it a night.
@carol-259:
Watching swimming closely. Waiting for le Clos in 100 fly. Schoeman made it to 50m freestyle final.
Congrats to poms so far.
2 Aug 2012, 21:11 pm
@Dusky-261:
You’re offsides. Take that back.
Sucker fool.
2 Aug 2012, 21:11 pm
@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged by Mad Eye Productions.-262: We tried to release you lot last weekend, but you are clinging on for dear life despite your team being dumped from the competition like a smelly rag – you are like cling ons – the dingle berries of this blog.
You should ‘release’ your obsession with the Sharks though.
Either that or dispose of that choker jersey, give in to your obsession and support the Sharks.
2 Aug 2012, 21:12 pm
Stormers girls doing a lot of talking about blowing tonight. Is it that time of the month? Blaaswerk week.
2 Aug 2012, 21:13 pm
@IAAS-264: What ? You didn’t know that Dawn is a bit of a petrol rag ? Personally, I dont mind a dop either – but I would stay off the balcony while inebriated.
2 Aug 2012, 21:15 pm
@mako-266: Stormer girls struggle to get lucky in Cape Town, considering that 80% of the male population are tail gunners.
2 Aug 2012, 21:21 pm
@Dusky-268: Yep, I get the impression that the ladies in Cape Town need to especially good at Blaaswerk, they have a lot of competition from the men. They have to be better at it than their husband’s buddies, or he will never come home from the pub. May be worth a trip down there, just to give the girls something to practise on…
2 Aug 2012, 21:23 pm
@Dusky-268:
@mako-269:
That’s too much information ladies.
Looks like the local CT boys have impressed you hugely.
Feel free to take one home.
2 Aug 2012, 21:23 pm
@mako-269: Trips to Cape Town are great for single guys. Although you literally have to watch your rear, the ladies are so desperate for some straight men its like a free for all. Very easy.
If you single and straight, Cape Town is a great place to live. You will have them knocking at your door (unfortunately some men as well).
2 Aug 2012, 21:25 pm
@IAAS-270: No thanks. Capetonians must stay in Cape Town, we dont want any of their chokeitis rubbing off on our rugby team thanks.
2 Aug 2012, 21:25 pm
Phelps is a legend.
2 Aug 2012, 21:27 pm
Rainy and cold in Svalbard tonight…..time to get out the Vodka or perhaps some of that local home made stuff I bought….
2 Aug 2012, 21:30 pm
@Dusky-267: All class, all in. You insult yourself, not Dawn, with these little ‘duskisisms’ that only those on your intellectual level could find remotely funny, ENTER MAKO stage left….
@Dusky-272: Oh I’m sorry. I didn’t realise the Sharks had won the S15. I blinked and they won it on their 4th attempt? 5th Attempt? That sounds like a whole lotta choking to me….cough splutter cough. But, anyways, you have won now, so that is in the past. Who was man of the match? I’m guessing you were?
2 Aug 2012, 21:32 pm
@Dusky-274: Add about 50 sedatives, 20 Codeine tablets, two Panados for luck, and we might just have a winner…..
2 Aug 2012, 21:33 pm
@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged by Mad Eye Productions.-275:
Dusky is a legend in his own lunch time. A mouse amongst men.
2 Aug 2012, 21:34 pm
@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged by Mad Eye Productions.-276:
And goodnight nurse.
2 Aug 2012, 21:35 pm
@Dusky-271: Sounds like you have to jam a fork up your backside handle first if you’re going to be wandering around Greenmarket Square. Any Stormers supporter that manages to take you unawares from behind is going to get a sore tip. Could be worth the discomfort. I heard that there are 2 ladies for every guy in CT, and then half the guys are ***, so you can have their 2 as well. Hell, it would be like shooting fish in a barrel, or beating the Stormers at Super Rugby. Too Easy!
2 Aug 2012, 21:38 pm
@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged by Mad Eye Productions.-275: What you taking about ? I wasn’t claiming the trophy – I was just claiming the fact that the Sharks disposed of your useless team of chokers like a used piece of toilet paper. That’s all.
Oh and of course your obsession with the Sharks.
2 Aug 2012, 21:38 pm
@IAAS-278: Amazing Grace…..
2 Aug 2012, 21:39 pm
@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged by Mad Eye Productions.-276: All that sexual frustration is making you cranky. Must be a long dry season between Sharks games at Newlands when our players and supporters can come and help you girls out.
2 Aug 2012, 21:42 pm
@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged by Mad Eye Productions.-276: You trying to drug me ? I have heard that males visiting Cape Town must be careful of this. Or else you will wake up with a painful bum.
2 Aug 2012, 21:44 pm
@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged by Mad Eye Productions.-281:
That would have whistled over Dusky’s head…
2 Aug 2012, 21:44 pm
@Dusky-280: Is your intellect genuinely this stunted, or are you trying to impress Mako? What don’t you understand Rain Man?
At this stage, the Sharks have won nothing. They have played in many finals and never won. If they lose again on Saturday, they will hold the record for final chokes. (And the coachless, captainless, playerless Lions will tell you they OWN you…in the same way you are telling the Stormers this now)
So, by your own logic if the Sharks lose on Saturday, they will have choked – again AND: the Lions own them…..
See logic can be your friend if you ask nicely.
2 Aug 2012, 21:46 pm
Hey, I see that G a y is a *** word on this site. That’s a bit lame, must be to stop the stormer supporters using it as a dating site.
2 Aug 2012, 21:47 pm
@IAAS-284: woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooosh
(I’m tempted to throw an impromptu IQ test out here…..just for sh y tes and giggles. Dusky and Mako will sh y te and we will giggle….guaranteed)
2 Aug 2012, 21:50 pm
@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged by Mad Eye Productions.-285: Yes, yes and yes….but that wasn’t what I was saying. I was simply inquiring as to why you hang around, the word ‘Sharks’ emblazoned in your nic when your team was wiped off and flushed like kak from a bum hole last weekend ?
You linger like a bad poep.
Ag its ok if the Lions own us, as long as we own the Stormers, which we do. 2 games in a row. Stormers are the Sharks bunnies.
2 Aug 2012, 21:50 pm
@Dusky-283: Read the recipe again. If that’s your recipe for date r a pe, I’m guessing you are into necrophilia.
2 Aug 2012, 21:51 pm
@mako-286: The Stormers have their own dating site. Go to iamastormer.co.za
I hear they are changing their website address to iamachoker.co.za
2 Aug 2012, 21:52 pm
@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged by Mad Eye Productions.-285: Rather have played in 5 finals and choked than played in 1 and choked. Losing on saturday couldn’t possibly be seen as a choke for the Sharks. Nobody gives them a chance already, due to their travel schedule, so we have a cast iron excuse should we lose. If we win there will be some choking accusations at the Chiefs though. All this choking talk from you Cape Ladies must be because you are thinking about blaaswerk again. You poor things.
2 Aug 2012, 21:55 pm
@Dusky-288: This is not a reality rugby site Rain Man. No-one is voted off because their team loses a game…..
I will linger as long as I want thank you, and it’s rather rude to expect me to exit gracefully just because I own you in interweb beatdowns.
2 Aug 2012, 21:57 pm
@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged by Mad Eye Productions.-292: You are still not getting it. I am not asking you to exit at all – stay as long as you like. I am just saying it surprises me, considering your team was thrown to the floor and stood on like a stompie by the Sharks (the team you mention in your nic).
Thats all.
2 Aug 2012, 21:59 pm
@mako-291:
For fucksakes are you and Dusky both imbecilic?
Mad Eye and myself have said that we are behind the Sharks this weekend. The Sharks won. The Stormers lost. We’re over it.
The Sharks still have to win on Saturday. Geddit ladies?
We don’t do flik-flaks though. That’s not our style.

I must be honest, the stormers don’t choke much. I guess that is because they have had so much practise at deep throating that their gag reflex has been trained. Once in 17 years is a record any poof would be proud of!
2 Aug 2012, 22:00 pm
After that gold medal who can doubt that Phelps is the greatest swimmer ever?
2 Aug 2012, 22:02 pm
@mako-291: That’s true. You can only choke when you are expected to win.
WP was expected to win the Currie Cup final in 2010 and what happened ? CHOKE !
Stormers were expected to win the Super 14 in 2010 and what happened ? CHOKE !
Stormers were expected to advance to the finals considering they had a home semi-final in 2011 and what happened ? CHOKE !
Stormers were expected to beat a jet lagged Sharks team considering they had a home final, and won the conference trophy for a second year running and what happened ? CHOKE !
Sharks cannot possibly be expectant of a win this weekend. Therefore, it would hardly qualify as a choke the magnitude of losing a home semi-final two years running.
BTW How many home semi-finals have been lost in Super rugby history ? I think the Stormers broke a record !

@IAAS-294: If you are behind us I just want to check that my fork is in place…. Just kidding. That is awesome, it is great to have a SA side in the finals. I would have supported the Stormers if they were there.
2 Aug 2012, 22:04 pm
@IAAS-294:
Hear, hear…. Blimey, it can get a bit repetitive can’t it?
2 Aug 2012, 22:05 pm
@IAAS-294: Are you really over it ? Your buddy has been using the Sharks in his nic since the beginning of the season to display some kind of ‘protest’ against the Sharks and advertising his disapproval of them (or something like that).
I doubt he is over seeing his team get projectile vomited out of the competition like they were last weekend.
2 Aug 2012, 22:06 pm
@Dusky-297:
Tell you what.
Why don’t you go and sleep the sleep of the unemployed?
Till Monday morning.
I’m sure your life will improve.
2 Aug 2012, 22:07 pm
@carol-299: Sorry about that. Gaylord is struggling to understand what I am trying to say. He keeps on diverting to the Chiefs/Sharks game this weekend whereas my comments are purely aimed at the past weekend when the choking Stormers were hawked up and spat out of the Super 15 like a loogy by the Sharks.
2 Aug 2012, 22:07 pm
Phelps did it again! The guy is phenomenal! His parents must be from KZN.
2 Aug 2012, 22:10 pm
@mako-291: A graduate of the Tiny Tots centre for toddlers with special needs I see?
I would like to explain this to you in a manner you would understand, but the site doesn’t take crayon.
Cast iron excuse if you lose you say? Nope. If you lose, travel can’t be blamed – the games you lost because you weren’t quite good enough to win them earlier in the season is the reason you had to travel. So travel can’t be used as the excuse as it’s the direct result of kak rugby earlier in the season.
You lose, it’s because you weren’t good enough throughout the season to AVOID the travel.
Which will mean, overall, just not good enough. Simple as that.
Now I am off. Steal my nic as much as you want…….if it makes you feel better.
2 Aug 2012, 22:10 pm
@IAAS-301: You know what – I think I will take your advice. Adios amigos….nice chatting to you.
And dont forget that the Stormers were removed from the Super 15 like a piece of dog kak is scraped from the underneath of a shoe by the Sharks. Don’t forget it. Sleep tight.
See you Sharks obsessed people here again tomorrow.
2 Aug 2012, 22:11 pm
@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged by Mad Eye Productions.-304: Scraped like toe jam from underneath the toenail and discarded by the Sharks. Goodnight choker.
2 Aug 2012, 22:14 pm
@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged by Mad Eye Productions.-304: Nighty night. When all is said and done, our kak rugby was enough to get us to the final, so must be less kak that the other 13 teams in the tournament that didn’t make it.
Take your Crayons to bed with you, you may wake up in a better mood in the morning…
2 Aug 2012, 22:16 pm
Well done Chad Le Clos, winning his semi final. That will give him a good lane tomorrow! Another good KZN boykie!
2 Aug 2012, 22:17 pm
@Dusky-305:
And don’t slam the door on the way out!
2 Aug 2012, 22:19 pm
@IAAS-309: Stormers – Flicked off like a snollie picked from the nose of the Super 15 by the Sharks – thrown away like a used dome.
2 Aug 2012, 22:23 pm
@Dusky@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged by Mad Eye Productions.-249:
Sorry.I have regained my composure. This multiple personality disorder is doing me in since the Stormers lost Saturday. I do not know at most times whether I am a) Dogfood b) Mad Eye c)A N Other.
I have no proof that you stole my nic at 223 or any other. So those egging me on are out of order too.
Sorry for my diatribe that followed. You too must be just as confused.
2 Aug 2012, 22:25 pm
@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged by Mad Eye Productions-311: That was quick. Must be those fat crayons. They definitely did the trick though, well done!
2 Aug 2012, 22:28 pm
@Dusky-310:

2 Aug 2012, 22:30 pm
Right, bedtime. I am going to dream about SBW gifting us an intercept try. Cheers all, thanks for the entertainment!
2 Aug 2012, 22:39 pm
Tomorrow is total showdown in the London Olympic pool in the Men’s 100m Butterfly.
Phelps will be baas and everyone else klaas.
‘n Nuwe vergelyking: so dom soos die boere van die Boeremag
2 Aug 2012, 22:42 pm
@IAAS-313:
Is jy dan Klaas , Iaas?
2 Aug 2012, 22:52 pm
@Antiviral-316:
You can run but you can’t hide.
And your language will never let you down.
How’s it tjommie? How’s it hanging?
Proteas got to kick on.
And you’re right. Phelps is a legend in the doggy paddle. Just like you.
2 Aug 2012, 23:01 pm
@Antiviral-316:
While you’re still thinking of what to say next.
Here’s a joke for you.
See if you can catch it.
As a present, what do you give the guy that has everything?
2 Aug 2012, 23:06 pm
@Antiviral-316:
And the answer is ” antivetrovirals”.
Didn’t expect you to get it.
You have to be “compos mentis” you understand.
Nice chatting.
Welcome back.
