@Te Rangatira-427: Hougaard is one of SA's problems, I'm not exaggerating when I say they would be better with Heini Adams in there. Ruan Pienaar should start. Not sure about flyhalf as there do not appear to be many options but Steyn is too one-dimensional. Lambie worth a go maybe as you say. If Goosen is back an in-form he would be perfect although the opener will probably come too early for him.

@fitz1ella-285: yeah it was a dodgy first couple of days but they’ve hit their straps and look to be on course for a best ever finish, fingers crossed the russians don’t start nailing golds in wrestling etc, they hit 3rd in Beijing.

Farah’s final kick was superb, perhaps it’s my ignorance of the sport but I was surprised to see a white american finish second.

Jamaican Sprinting is the most dramatic sporting fairy tale achievement of all time. Girls getting Gold and Bronze and the guys go one better for Gold and Silver pumping Gatlin And G’ay into next best status. I think Baily hurt himself in heats he was strapped up for final and didn’t run as fast as yesterday.

Meyer has some excellent players at his disposal with some more experience to come off the injury list, now he needs to adjust his tactical appreciation of what he deems the correct strategical approach especially with his loose forward trio and halfback/first five combination.
I would be going for more speed in the loosies who offer better handling skills, therefore Daniel at eight,Alberts on the blindside with Coetsee/Kolisi on the open.
As for nine and ten, would persevere with Hougaard and move Lambie to ten who I believe is good enough to get amongst the opposition defensive line and be able to slip passes and has a good tactical awareness when to run or drop the ball in behind from different types of kicks (grubber,chips or bombs).
I still think Potgeiter is no good and the doctor at prop is too prone to errors.
