Another setback for Kritzinger

WP prop JC Kritzinger has suffered yet another injury setback and will be out of action for three months.

Kritzinger injured his ankle during training this week, and WP confirmed on Friday that the injury is serious.

The versatile prop has struggled for game time in recent seasons with a couple of knee injuries limiting his involvement with both the Stormers and WP teams. His latest ankle injury means he is unlikely to feature in this year’s Currie Cup.

WP coach Allister Coetzee has been forced to make a change to the match 22 selected to play against the Sharks on Saturday. Loose forward Yaya Hartzenberg will take Kritzinger’s place on the bench.

    Seems like south african props in particular like to be called by their initials instead of their names

    this is unfortunate wanted to see him make a solid progress in the currie cup. i take it wicus bluew’s also still injured ?

    @Robzim-2: JC Janse van Rensburg@numba4lock-3: Yes, Kritzinger is a powerful scrummager but has been injured for (it seems like) seasons !! Both knees and now an ankle. I don’t know what happened to Wicus Blaauw. He was injured, then returned but has not heard anything about him lately!

    @Dusky-7: yep.

    these young WP props are very overrated

    Blaauw was screwed over many times by kiwi props when he was on S15 scene. Kritzinger will leave WP soon.

    Kitschoff is good but overrated too IMO

    A 20 year old prop can be overrated!

Keo.co.za has always promoted uncensored views, but has never tolerated racist or crass outbursts. Come on guys and girls. If you can't moderate yourselves or each other then I am going to be forced to regulate the posts and enforce a registration process for comments. The choice is yours.
