The SA Schools side scored three tries in their 17-7 victory over France U18 in Wellington on Friday.
The result marks a successful start for South Africa in the U18 International Series staged at Hugenote High School. In the other match played on Friday, England U18 beat Wales U18 28-25.
The next round of fixtures will be played on 14 August in George, with England U18 playing against France U18 and the SA Schools team tackling Wales U18.
