Spies blow for Boks

Pierre Spies has been ruled out of the Rugby Championship because of an injury to his left ring finger.
The No 8 injured his finger in the Super Rugby qualifier against the Crusaders last month.
According to Springbok team doctor Craig Roberts, initial X-rays did not reveal any significant abnormality.
‘However, on review and further investigation, including a CT scan and assessment by a hand specialist in Cape Town, it was found that Pierre had a fracture into the joint,’ said Roberts.
‘Surgical correction is needed in order to prevent permanent damage. The usual rehabilitation time for these kinds of injuries is eight to 12 weeks.’

AB team named tomorrow isnt it? with the chiefs making the final quite a few of ours should be rested too, so think that isn’t really a concern.
always tough to beat in Aus, but think their midfield is a real weakness. would be nice to be back in NZ with the win, want to be the inaugural winners of TRC. time will tell though

Most of the Abs basically pick themselves, with Nonu coming in for Smith and Corey Jane slotting in at right wing and Read at no 8.Would like to see Cane picked ahead of Thompson on the bench.
As for Oz, if they click on the night,and Abs are slightly off their game, then Abs will lose, will be won or lost at the breakdown, Pocock v Ab loose trio.

I can only recall one lineout Sam Cane won in the third Irish test and that kind of fell into his hands,so yes Thompson is a far better lineout exponent than him, I think Hansen should be looking to the future ,whether Cane is the answer has yet to be revealed, only game time will see if he can produce the goods on a consistent basis. As for Thompson,ever since Samo palmed him off last year, the writing has been on the wall regarding his future, and anyways haven’t you bagged him in the past.

Tough one TR, probably Alberts at 8 but he is not the fastest. We actually have a weakness there with Kanko also a possibility (if available) but he seems to suffer when he puts on the G&G.
I am a massive Brussow fan and without him the balance of the backrow is a little skew no matter who you put there. Hopefully the Meyer will pick him when he is well…

Valerie comes across as very emotional and sorry to say, angry, not a good look.She was robbed however of something she has worked for over four years and she is entitled to be a tad bitter towards the Belarussian, probably milking the angst side of things way too much, but unfortunately that seems to be part of her personality.
