Pumas’ star man out
22 Aug 2012
Argentina flyhalf Juan Martín Hernández will miss the Test against the Springboks in Mendoza as a result of a groin injury.
Hernández, who only recently returned from an injury-enforced three-season absence from Tests, suffered the injury during Wednesday’s training session. His loss is major blow for the Pumas, who rely heavily on his wide ranging attacking skill set.
Santiago Fernández, who was named at inside centre, is likely to shift into the position, although a call on this will only be made on Thursday.

Good news for Boks, Dragons!

Its hard to believe after his mediocre performances for the Sharks that Hernandez is any threat to the Springboks at all. Lets hope the Boks up their game this weekend. We need a bonus point. Should have earned it against the Pumas in Cape Town, now we will have to do it the difficult way.

@Dusky-2:
News to me that Hernandez played for the Sharks… look again…
Boks need to play the ‘best’ Puma’s side before the Wallabie’s and AB’s… not a rag-tag bunch…

@bryce_in_oz-5:
Juan Martín Hernández (born August 7, 1982 in Buenos Aires) is an Argentine rugby union player. A mainstay of the Argentina national team, he currently plays for the Paris club Racing Métro in the French Top 14 competition. His 2010 move to Racing brought him back to the city where he had begun his professional career in 2003 with Stade Français. He has also played in the South African Currie Cup with the Natal Sharks, and was slated to play with the Sharks in Super Rugby in 2010, but suffered a back injury that knocked him out of the Super Rugby season. Hernández is a “utility back” capable of playing at fly-half, centre, or fullback, though he generally prefers fly-half.
See, never to old to learn something new…

No Hernandez, No Trainer, No sure kickers to send the ball to the H, No our traditional scrum, but 4 or 5 penalties machines.
We need a miracle.

@Dusky-2: He is a class player, but was unfortunately hampered by injuries during his time at the sharks.
One of the best kickers of a rugby ball there is.
Have your say
