Engelbrecht back for Bulls
30 Aug 2012
JJ Engelbrecht will start at wing when the Blue Bulls face WP at Newlands on Saturday.
Engelbrecht was on the bench during both Bok Tests against Argentina over the last fortnight, but was left out of the 28-man squad to tour Australasia. He now finds himself in the Bulls’ starting line-up for the clash in Cape Town, which will be his first Currie Cup appearance for the Pretoria union.
This sees Clayton Blommetjies shifted to fullback, while Jurgen Visser drops to the bench.
Blue Bulls – 15 Clayton Blommetjies, 14 Akona Ndungane, 13 Johann Sadie, 12 Francois Venter, 11 JJ Engelbrecht, 10 Louis Fouché, 9 Ruan Snyman, 8 Dewald Potgieter (c), 7 CJ Stander, 6 Deon Stegmann, 5 Grant Hattingh, 4 Wilhelm Steenkamp, 3 Werner Kruger, 2 Willie Wepener, 1 Dawie Steyn.
Subs: 16 Robbie Coetzee, 17 Frik Kirsten, 18 Cornell Hess, 19 Warwick Tecklenburg, 20 Rudi Paige, 21 Lionel Cronje, 22 Jurgen Visser.

Unlucky for Visser. Been playing decent rugby. Unfortunately the political numbers game had to be accommodated.

@pompies2-3: What is that number then?

@Taahirah-4:
Four, but Chilibooi and Basson are currently totalled
so the Bulls included only three

@Hondo-5: I count 2.
Unless you are arguing that Cornell Hess on the bench makes up 3.
But then Clayton Blommetjies or Akona could have been on the bench, making room for Visser and there would have still been 3.
Which leads me to believe this is a total thumbsuck from the both of you.
Oh well.
