Warren Tecklenburg will start at openside flank when the Blue Bulls host the Golden Lions this Saturday.

Tecklenburg comes in for Stegmann, who has been ruled out with injury. The only other change to the starting side sees Francois Venter returning to the midfield. Jan Serfontein, who started at No 12 last week, will rejoin the Bulls U21 side.

Bongi Mbonambi and Jean Cook are the new faces on the bench.

    Good to see Jean Cook on the bench. Great player, and one to watch for the future. He’s great with ball in hand and a nice lineout option too.

    Expect Tecklenburger to replace Stegmann in super rugby next year.

    Great player, I agree. Stegmann was a great player, but I think he is battling with the more strict reffing at the break-down. @gunther,a few months ago I think I saw you said you are a college old boy. Am I right?

    Steggies already do find himself on the bench in suoperrugby with spies and the 2 potties as loose trio… Add arno botha in the mix and the competition get tougher by the day…

    In not happy with the team… I’d play this team for the lions

    Nice team, but neither of the two potties are spesialized fetchers, so Tecklenburg, in my opinion, should be our first choice nr6 with dewald or jaques at 7 and spies or botha at 8. Bulls have a lot of quality loosies.
