Jordaan to miss coastal clash

Sharks centre Paul Jordaan has been ruled out of the game against Western Province due to a facial injury.

Jordaan sustained a heavy knock and facial cuts in last week’s game against Griquas. He will not be risked against WP, and the Sharks coaches are hopeful that Tim Whitehead will be fit to take Jordaan’s place in midfield.

The Sharks also have the option of starting Marius Joubert in tandem with Meyer Bosman.

    With Whitehead and Jordaan the Sharks have an incredibly promising midfield.

    Pity Frans Steyn will come back in and ruin it.

    But then again….

    STOOOOOOORMERS / WP JOU LEKKER DING!

    Pity but if we get Tim back that would be great.

    @Bagel-2: Fransie will play far better for the Sharks than with the Boks. Jordaan and Fransie in next years S15 will be awesome. Fransie is used differently at the Boks. Tim too was great for us this year and pleased he will be there next year too. 3 world class centres.

    Jeez I like that saying think I will just say it with Sharks in front…hehe

    Sharks….. JOU LEKKER DING! HAHAHA.

    @Puma-3: Sorry Puma, you can’t blame what we’ve seen this year on coaching. That skip pass on the weekend was the last straw for me. He’s bloody predictable, Whitehead and Jordaan are not.

    Also what is the guys 40m sprint time? I’d love to find out because he is looking scarily slow, making JdV look quick even…

    Maybe if he drops 10 kgs, and gets brought down to Earth a bit.

    Is this another away game?

    Starting to remind me of the Sharks S15 schedule.

    @Bagel-4:
    JDV is not so slow as you perceive.

    @TooMuchRugby-7: JDV is probably one of the quickest centres in world rugby even at his age. Compare his pace to Nonu, Smith, Barrit, Farrell, Barnes etc
