O’Connor won’t face Boks
11 Sep 2012
James O’Connor won’t be considered for the Wallabies’ tour to South Africa in two weeks’ time because of an ongoing hamstring injury.
O’Connor rejoined the Wallabies squad this week, and it was hoped that he would regain full fitness before the team departed for South Africa and Argentina.
But according to The Sydney Morning Herald, the Wallabies coaches have decided not to rush O’Connor back before he is ready. Medical staff believe it would be unwise for O’Connor to travel to South Africa in two weeks, let alone play the Boks in Pretoria.
O’Connor also won’t be considered for the subsequent game in Argentina which means that he will only make his Test return in November.
Meanwhile, hooker Stephen Moore, who was a late withdrawal from last week’s Test in Perth, has been ruled out of the coming game against Argentina.

It will most likely be a dead rubber anyway so no need to rush anyone back.

@Robzim-2: could be important to the Boks trying to avoid a “Tri Nations” whitewash

#5 Bakkies
James is the Justin Bieber loookalike who sent a rugby nation into a 4 year mourning when he landed the vital penalty after the Danie Roussouw brainfart during the last wc.
Imagine the consequences if he has missed and SA has held on for a victory. It could have been massive….
