@1087 bakkies: you are kiddIng, right? Carter gOt injured in the 07 Qf against France, as did Evans shortly afterwards, leaving us with the cumbersome mcalistair at 10. That cost us the game irrespective of any other factors….. At the end of 2008 he had a short stint in France where he got a serious injury, from memory he missed all (???) of the tn series, which is why the boks had the joy of lining up against Donald…. He has basically been injury prone since 2007 and kiwis were very worried about this going into the 2O11 wc.

Like jonny w before him, carter’s style of play and miles on the clock have left him an unreliable starter.

Grant fox on the other hand never got injured from memory, and he played a lot like steyne

@grant10-1053: Morne does not get injured because of how he plays. Tnink about it, when was the last time? I don't think he has ever been injured ever since 2009 when he got up and kicked the winning penalty for the B and I Lions tour. It has to be some kind of record. 2009 - 2012 and never been injured! He has also played every match of this passed S16.
