Greyling cited for strike
15 Sep 2012
Springbok prop Dean Greyling has been cited for foul play following the Test in Dunedin on Saturday.
According to a statement from Sanzar, Greyling is alleged to have contravened Law 10.4 (a) Punching or Striking, when he made contact with All Blacks captain Richie McCaw with his arm in the 64th Minute of Saturday’s match.
Referee George Clancy spotted the infringement and proceeded to yellow-card Greyling. Upon further review of the match footage the citing commissioner deemed the incident had met the red card threshold for foul play.
Meanwhile, Bok coach Heyneke Meyer offered a public apology to McCaw.
‘I am very big on discipline and it is unacceptable,’ Meyer said. ‘I think it cost us the game as well.
‘I want to apologise to Richie and we will deal with it in-house, but it is unacceptable. We are a team that prides ourselves and you can’t afford these things in games.’

So I have read through most of the posts…Is there anyone in SA,excluding idiotic kick-and-chase-en-vrouslaan Blue Bull supporter that think HM is on the right track? And by the way, someone with that hairstyle must have served under old Adolf in his first life….bring back snorre…..only kidding – Jake is the answer to this madness, but the big boys at the top would rather have a country miserable, than swallow their own pride – wankers!!…

@Black Power-53: You know, a full strenght Bok team, with a quality coach and no quotas and politics VS a full strength AB side with a quality coach and no politics will always win. Always! You just start off right – picking the right guys to pick the guys who will eventually pick the team. We have a bunch of clowns running our circus! I will kEep on hoping though that one day al the right people will slot into the right. Positions…

Greyling’s parents named him “MacGuyver Dean”. It suggests he doesn’t have very sparkly DNA in his favour.
15 Sep 2012, 22:36 pm
that was a cowardly cheap shot and has no place in the game. I hope he gets 6 weeks and never plays for the boks again.
15 Sep 2012, 22:42 pm
Aaaaah get over it guys, so he had a rush of blood to the head! No loss to the Boks anyway. Perhaps he should have got mcCaw on the snoz to make it worthwhile, just like estebeth should have moved sharpes nose to the back of his head….

@whatever-58: The antipodeans love riling the dumb yarpies into typically stupid aggression which serves only to remove them from the contest for weeks at a stretch. And to get the ref’s dander up against the more thuggish and ill-disciplined team. That’s worth a dozen points a game as a bonus. And the yarps take the bait every time.
15 Sep 2012, 23:26 pm
@TheTackler-59:
and here is another yarp fishing as usual tickles.

@Flat distributor-55:
I see your not letting the truth get in the way of your little wet dream
handle your loss like a real man
16 Sep 2012, 00:46 am
i stopped watching this ****, but also needs to be said that we are not in that bad a position – with all these injuries, and insane selections, we only lose by 10 odd points, with our fwds seemingly in the contest?
now imagine if you will suddenly bismarck, etc comes back – goosen at 10, frans at 15, jdj at 12 – and suddenly we have a whole new team.
cooper returns for ozzies, and now suddenly you will see that the top 3 are MUCH closer than what most think….

What a disgrace this guy is. Everyone outside of nz doesn’t really like macaw because he is annoying as hell but no player deserves a shot like that. He is doing what a 7 (6 for SA) should be doing and if he’s not then he shouldn’t be on the field. Same thing with brussow. As an ab fan I hated him because he was so annoying but at the same time appreciated the skill. Actually what has happened to him? Is he injured?
16 Sep 2012, 01:04 am
@rugbyrugby-63: I think the whole Mccaw is a cheat angle has actually worked for NZ rather than against us… lots of teams have targeted him for off the ball stuff, often resulting in penalties and yellow cards..
Greyling last night, Heaslip in NZ and Quade are just three examples I can think of (Quade wasnt penalised even granted)
at this level, that lack of attention to your own plan can cost you, as it did last night..
16 Sep 2012, 01:07 am
@TheTackler-56: you didn’t have to dial up that 56k modem and google that, he’s from prehistoria after all
16 Sep 2012, 01:15 am
@pop@poppa69-64: Don’t forget that useless welshman powell or whatever his name is. It’s understandable to get upset but you aim to smash that player in a tackle or even in a run but not off the ball. Cowards do that.
Don’t know why people were saying this was going to be a blow out games between these to great rugby nation never really is. But seriously the boks need to stop KICKING!!! You have the talent and skill, it just a shame your coaches dont see it
16 Sep 2012, 02:04 am
Greyling fukkedup granted…he tried to make an impact but he is clumsy and not the brightest….why was he picked in the first place? Why did Meyer use him as the scapegoat for the loss when there were others who left points out there on the park? As for the apology to Ritchie, nice gesture,
16 Sep 2012, 02:22 am
Meyer’s apology was gracious and the right thing to do.
But let’s not kid ourselves. He *had* to apologise.
The Springbok have always been a filthy team, vying with France for the mantle of the most thuggish in the game.
SARU finally realised about a decade ago that this thuggery needed to be addressed and to be fair, successive administrations have made great strides cleaning up the South African game.
Greyling’s thuggery is a throwback, damaging a reputation South Africa has tried to build.
16 Sep 2012, 02:25 am
@whatever-58:
And again…once a thug always a thug.
Well done whatever. Maybe McCaw should find you and teach you some manners.
I reckon he would take you apart,your big mouth would not be hard to miss.
16 Sep 2012, 04:52 am
@Big Hit-10: got any examples of recent All Black thuggery that requires apology? Unfortunately, the Boks have a history of such behaviour.
16 Sep 2012, 04:54 am
As a Kiwi I very much appreciate the apology and I would hope that any coach, AB included, is man enough to acknowledge such thuggery. Hey, I don’t care of Richie gets bashed if he’s fiddling about, but there is a right and a wrong way.
16 Sep 2012, 06:27 am
Hey hurricane, go play with yourself you baby!
16 Sep 2012, 06:31 am
Hehe, and hurricane, how is your comment any better than mine? You really are a retarded fukwit
16 Sep 2012, 06:38 am
@whatever-73:
I thought the only way idiot thugs like you would only understand was to talk about violence.
But then again i think its a mismatch McCaw and you.
I think the waterboy would be more of a match up…..little fella.
See we are talking violence….the only way you respond.
16 Sep 2012, 06:39 am
@boozer-70:
He will bring up Tana and Mealamu.
Forget about Shaw, the most pathetic thug put there.Up there with Bakkies.
16 Sep 2012, 09:16 am
I hope that piece if s hit greyling never pulls a bok jersey over his head again. He’s always been dumb and dirty, always will be. Inbred ape.
16 Sep 2012, 09:40 am
Man of the Match
16 Sep 2012, 09:46 am
wheres that dipshit, Cab, and all his theories about ‘picking thugs’ when the team are “getting beaten all over the park”.
McCaw targetted by leading elbows and flying headbutts by Boks, again. I suppose thats what happens when youre getting beaten all over the park.
16 Sep 2012, 10:03 am
In Bulls country they call what Greyling did, INTIMIDATION.
In the rest of the rugby playing world it is known as dirty play.

@Robzim-19:
Ha ha at least 24hours later there is some 1 who can make me laugh about it for a min or 2… Ja either that or Mornes grandmother (high up in die broederbod) gave the order to make Prince skop n jag look good!
Aaah then back to reality..
*Gave away 4 penalties!!

*conceded a try, missed the tackle on Smith!!
*last penalty cost the Boks a losing bonus point!!
This stompper chump anal nugget ferrit pounder needs a f brain transplant or to get of whT ever wife better drugs he’s on!

Vuilgat.
It seems apple doesn’t recognise the vernacular.
16 Sep 2012, 10:18 am
@Te Rangatira-67: Herin lies his problem, u can actually be a bobo and as long as ur physical enough and stick to basics you can make an impact against tired players OR be a temp stop gap while low in deptg faark who knows maybe even improve and learn some actual rugby game Experience! BuT leave the “Thuggery” to the intelligent or experience senior national level players who can do it and get awy with it, eg Eye Gouger McCaw, Reid, Thawn, Sharp, Schalk eye gouger lion hunter, Bakkies etc…
This babie still fresh out the Bulls cresh needs to get over his desire to try be the big man and earn it first on the national feld through hard play aaand K.I.S.S!!! Keep It Simple Stupid!! Then maybe after a couple tests he may even learn some actual means to contributing to a team by playing well! And fucck if hes very lucky he may even learn how and when to Enforce!
16 Sep 2012, 10:26 am
Faaark it man as much as this chump stompper pisssess me the faark of he has potential, just forget about thuggery its too much for his stompper brain to handle in its still early developing stage, he was so hyped up like an African Elephant in shagg season seeping testosterone out its faarkin ears:
FACT – HIGH LEVELS OF ANGER & Aggression lower the ability to consentrate!
There is a big difference being completely diald in vs being a rampant raging Elephant with a hard on..
16 Sep 2012, 10:29 am
If some one can translate the above to him without setting off possible attack – Maybe at a Pierrie Spies church party or while Morne is getting his perm he may have hope..
16 Sep 2012, 10:33 am
On Another note u Faarkin WeePeePee Chuck norris UFC wannabie need to take a break from your XBoxes..
As for my dear Sharks.. Well done great composurs!! BUT u may need to attend a coupple self defence classes with the wyfies before your next WeePeePee encounter.. 4 in a row things might get ugly next game! They may go for 4/5 reds!

@keo-16: Test career Keo not test season. Never before has a player been so utter useless in a bok jersey. He will go down as the kakkest bok ever and a record I am certain he will keep for many years !
16 Sep 2012, 10:42 am
@nama1-79: Dumb and dumberest. You’d have a better chance of intimidating Chuck Norris than intimidating Sir Richard McCaw, pilgrim. He’s totally unintimidatable,
16 Sep 2012, 10:43 am
This replacement for Beast is an indictment of Meyer’s confusion as a coach… The guy is making bad decisions…
Actually this citing and sending off of Greyling is an indictment of the leniency of SA refs for the two “traditional powers” in SA rugby…
SA refs have let this “intimidation” continue for years now… And then these braindead “traditional” fools get fuckedup at test level every time…
Flat track Bullies WP/Stormers and the Bulls getting their flat track farken just desserts… In the mean time Sharks, Lions, Griquas forging ahead on the CC log playing 15 man rugby…
“Traditional Powers” now the Traditional Farken Losers…
Times have changed and the Traditional North South farken losers are stuck in a time warp while other more enterprising SA teams leaving them for dead sucking hind *** on long past glories…
Fark these traditional fckups fcking up Bok rugby… Farkemall
16 Sep 2012, 10:47 am
For once a SA ref didnt let this thuggery go unpunished yesterday at Dynamite Stadium….
WP players sent off left right and centre… They are a fukkendisgrace…
Highly telling that the Sharks got a 4 try bonus point in flood weather. And fully deserved too…
16 Sep 2012, 11:24 am
Enough Of The Bull Bashing. Even If We Won By Morne Converting ALL The Missed Kicks, You Naaiers Would Still Be Saying Bulls Players Are Fecking Up. Goosen Is A Better Flyhalf Than Morne Right Now (No Arguments About That) And The Calls For Lambie Are Justified. I Think Right The Best Thing To Do Is For HM To Bring Hougaard Back At Scrummie And Let Him Play His Natural Cavalier Type Of Play Instead Of Trying To Make Him FdP. Bring In Goosen At 10 With Habs Back At 11. Move Mvovo To The Right. Pienaar Is Piss Poor.

#16 Keo good post if it was not so sad it would really be funny,but i had a good laugh anyway that is one lesson in how to stuff things up spectacularly.

Two-week ban for Greyling
2012-09-16 10:03
Cape Town – SANZAR Duty Judicial Officer Paul Tully has accepted a guilty plea from Springbok prop Dean Greyling for contravening Law 10.4 (a) – punching or striking – after he was cited following the Rugby Championship clash between New Zealand and South Africa in Dunedin on Saturday.
Greyling has been suspended from all forms of the game for two weeks up to and including September 30.
The incident occurred in the 64th minute of the match, which the All Blacks won 21-11.
In his finding Tully ruled that Greyling, whilst in the process of cleaning out at a ruck, recklessly used his forearm in such a manner that he made contact in a dangerous way with the head of New Zealand skipper Richie McCaw.
Although there was no injury complaint, Tully felt the action had the potential to cause serious injury. Greyling was issued with a yellow card and subsequently cited and pleaded guilty to a breach of the law.

@Hurricane-75: Shaw a thug?
At worst Shaw can be accused of being clumsy, he has been playing rugby for about 300 years and the worst I’ve ever seen from him is falling on someone.
@boozer-70: maybe ask Lewis Moody
16 Sep 2012, 14:46 pm
@Heavens Game-90: BOOM! ?
hahahahahahaha
17 Sep 2012, 00:18 am
@The Sharks rugby pedigree is packaged as dog food-31: Frankly I saw where we wanted to be in the last match too- and it WAS ggod. Our bunch of rookie forwards held the experienced AB’s pack and even dominated them. It was good. we just could not make teh advantage count with SHODDY backline play. Ricrado needs to shape up or ship out. Bring in the sevens coach, or maybe Mithell or the Aussie Campese.
17 Sep 2012, 10:34 am
The worst decision of Meyer’s tenure as Bok coach was to make Greyling a Bok. Beast was playing well, and he brings on Greyling-Penalty-Prone-Fool.
