Sinclair, Holmes in the dock

Sinclair, Holmes in the dock

WP’s Jebb Sinclair and Tyrone Holmes will appear before a Saru disciplinary hearing on Tuesday.

Both loose forwards were red carded following separate incidents in a Currie Cup match played in Durban on Saturday. Sinclair was sent off for punching in the 53rd minute, while Holmes was later ejected for the same offence.

With a double-suspension looming, WP’s loose forward depth will undergo a further test. Duane Vermeulen is currently with the Springboks while Schalk Burger, Siya Kolisi, Nizaam Carr and Nick Koster are unavailable through injuries.

At least teams now know not to **** with us!

The grunt in Province rugby is back.

Now, other than that straw clutching, I hope we don’t meet the Sharks again should we make the playoffs. They’ve made us their b…… this season.

And James Haskell only got a yellow for TWO punches.

And two weeks, one for each punch

That was both really stupid and they both deserve a ban. The last yellow was harsh but as I said at the time we set the tone and the ref was gonna card us for a forward pass !!

As if we can afford to lose loosies , eish. Well at least Sinclair showed he has some grunt , sorry but trying to fond some sort of silver lining !!!

I reckon after this weekend a 2 week ban should suffice.

These players let Province down. They already short on players. Both will probably pick up a two week ban.

We are in some serious #### if these two are suspended for any lenght of time.
Even tho this was wrong, atleast these guys arent standing back for anyone. Province getting some grunt back in their pack which is good to see.

Soon going to have one of the toughest packs in any provincial rugby. Guys like Elstadt, Etserbeth, Burger, Duane,Kollisi,Tiaan. All tough buggers that don’t need to stand back for anyone.

The game was there for province to take but they reali blew it.

I think that Schreuder is that little bit better than Groom, Groom is a tough chap but doesnt have the same kinda class as a Schreuder. Scored 2 good tries and one last week. Time for him to get a start.
Scarra continues to impress, does his basics so well .
I wanna see JP duPlesis make the step up now, still does some stupid things.

Very impressed with de Allende, I think he should start at 13 and see how JP is on the wing
Not sure who’s next in line to cover at flank, any one know??? Where is Reuben Johannes?? good player

Pitty Quinn Roux left, if he was around Don armandt could move back to 7, he’s also been pretty good this season.

Both of these fellows deserve a ban. Punching is a very juvenile way in which to retaliate.
Personally I feel they should be given an extra 2 weeks on the sidelines for allowing the very streetwise and experienced Sharks loose trio to niggle them….
In conditions like that (and to be honest, the game should have been called off due to some very real safety concerns) there was always going to be some shoving of heads into puddles and other little off the ball thingies all aimed at provoking.
Sadly, instead of simply shoving the Sharks gents faces into puddles as well, our fellows saw red – quite literally, and will pay the price, deservedly so.

But anyone thinking Mssrs. Deysel, Botes and the planky looking Rain Man of SA rugby, Mr Bresler were ‘innocent’ victims needs to pull the other bell, the one that actually tolls.

Congrats clever Sharks, you played the conditions, the woeful ref and our ready to rumble players perfectly.

Don’t see why you boys thought it necessary though….as I do believe you would have won in any event, as for some reason you seem to have our ‘number’.

Could easily have gone the other way too. Deysel was shaping to unload one too. Sinclair just got his in first, and it was a fine shot too. That was no play-acting from Deysel. He went down like Klitshko against Sanders.

now the half enlightened boertjie or the half evolved soutie reckons he’s a boxing boffin too.. can’t wait for Sonny Bill to smack his vetgat over the hill rhinoceros into oblivion that might just decimate his false fake philosophy that he actually hails from heaven sent hereditary stock.

Jebb’s punch was a beauty

The list of loosies unavailable for Western Province: 1. Koster, 2. Burger,
    3. Carr, 4. Kolisi, 5. Vermeulen, 6. Elstadt, 7. Sinclair and 8. Holmes. With Deon Fourie playing flank at the moment, the next guys will actually be no 10 and 11 in the pecking order of loosies.
I’d go with Armand at 7 with Van der Sluys at lock. Fourie will have to play 8 and Lehmann at 6. Daniller (who was injured for quite a while could provide cover on the bench).@kaksioek-10: A beauty perhaps but very stupid !!!!!!!
