Cooper to quit Wallabies?

Quade Cooper’s relationship with Wallabies coach Robbie Deans and the ARU has deteriorated to the point where he may quit international rugby.

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, Cooper is contracted to the Reds for another three seasons, but the Australian Rugby Union component of that contract is yet to be finalised.

Cooper has expressed his frustrations with what he described as a ‘toxic Wallabies environment’ on social network site Twitter, and it is believed that his relationship with Deans has hit rock bottom.

Sources told the newspaper that Cooper will walk away from the Wallabies at the end of the season. Considering Cooper’s current injury is likely to rule him out of the remaining 2012 Tests, the flyhalf may have played his final international for Australia.

Cooper is expected to take up a lucrative deal with a big French club, or could revert to rugby league. There is a strong chance that he will join good friend Sonny Bill Williams at the Sydney Roosters from next season.

The Reds expect Cooper to be available for the 2013 Super Rugby competition, but have told reporters that there are existing problems between the player, Deans, and the ARU that are yet to be resolved.

Quade could be the poster boy for Springbok supporters, their spiritual leader.

Every time things dont go Quades Way, he threatens to pack up his toys and go and play somewhere else. Because its ALL about Quade.

These R league players are a different kettle of fish. In one way I’m not the biggest fan.
But in another way a player like Quade Coops makes R Union a different ball game.
    Is he too big headed?
    Is he too individualistic?
Is he just the typical breed that R League players are?
Is he perhaps just one of the players who has spoken aloud meaning is the camp an unhappy one? Maybe that injury was deliberate?

Naa, suposely it accured at 2am in a car crash the night before flying out to SA.
It appears he is tired of boring rugby and hates loosing.
Either way it will be a total shame, he is one of the current stars in rugga and we have enjoyed him thoroughly, even playing for the Reds where I saw some stuff unimaginable.

Quade’s correct – the style of play IS sterile, with a 10 / 12 axis of Barnes / Harris & McCabe.& Fainga’a @ 13. Deans perhaps has lost the dressing room, nonetheless rugby union can’t afford to lose players like Quade & SBW simply because defences are becoming too good

“Will the Springboks beat the Wallabies and All Blacks on the Highveld?

    They’ll win both matches
    Just the Wallabies
    Just the All Blacks”

This poll looks like “will you vote for X?”

    a) Yes
    b) Of course
