Moore out of Test
25 Sep 2012
Wallabies hooker Stephen Moore has been ruled out of Saturday’s Test against the Springboks at Loftus.
Moore strained a hamstring and is en route back to Australia. James Hansen has been called up to cover hooker.
Ben Alexander, Liam Gill, James Slipper, Sita Tamani, Nathan Sharpe and Scott Higginbotham all suffered with gastric virus this week but aren’t thought to be in danger of missing the Test.
Australia will delay their team announcement until Thursday afternoon to give them the best chance of recovery.

The Aussies know they will be beaten up front . As usual they will be working on their strategies to shift the confrontation away from the tight exchanges, or to at least slow the Boks down in the tight and at the ruck and maul to avoid giving the Boks a good attacking platform.
It has ever been thus – I can’t think of a time this Century when the Aussies have had parity with the Boks in the forwards. Yet still the Aussies continue to win.
So whilst the Boks should be favourites to win, I am not discounting the possibility that the Aussies could sneak this one.

@corporal punishment-7: Wallabies pack dominated Boks pack last week. In fact, you could say they dominated in 7 of the last 8 times they have played.
Have your say
