Well the tragic reality is SA really never has had a truly exceptional fly-half, so I can completely understand the hype and more importantly, hope. Possibly the next best in the post-isolation era was Henry Honiball, although also not the “complete” flyhalf. Good luck Johan, as one of the “obsessed” I will be holding thumbs SA’s own Carter, Mehrtens or Wilkinson arises.

I take my hat off to HM – He has accepted he made a mistake with M Steyn, to play him for so many games. I am confident the Boks are on the up, and with the team we have at the moment and with HM – The Boks will be no1 soon enough, it’s only a matter of time. What they did in Dunedin is just glimpses of what they are capable of, and that’s with loads of players off injured. Now he just needs to realise a few more positions need tweaking and then we are good to go.. And please give Lambie some game time….Send M Steyn back to the CC – let him get his comfidence back and it’s up to M Steyn to fight his way back into the Bok mix

ag look i dont know what to feel about all this, rl.
it was never about morne, it was about my desire to see the boks winning at home.
i trully believed we would all our games this year, with meyer.
and then i decided to believe we would win everything at home, but now i cant even be sure of that.

i am looking to next year, and if the boks do not go unbeaten then i will be writing letters to all those responsible, and it will not be kind words.

this year is gone, kaput.

Boks should embrace this new Goosen / Jantjes era…..

It means a far more direct ,ball in hand approach.

Not in these 2 10 s DNA to skop en jag….

My concerns are at 9 and 13….we fast moving in right direction though. I must say I am pleasantly surprised that Heyneke has shown a willingness to make these far reaching decisions…..well done Coach.

PS…..He also said he rates Brussow highly and as soon as Brussows injury problems are behind him and his form returns he will be strongly back in the selection frame…
