Jean worry for WP
8 Oct 2012
Jean de Villiers is currently nursing a couple of injuries and could miss Western Province’s final league match against the Cheetahs.
According to WP management, the Bok captain has a slight hamstring niggle and a bit of swelling on the knee. At this point, these ailments are not believed to be serious, but De Villiers will be managed carefully in the build up to Saturday’s game.
In other injury news, flank Rynhardt Elstadt has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a rib injury. Gio Aplon has completed his rehabilitation of an injured ankle, but he may not be risked this weekend.
Flank Tyrone Holmes won’t be considered for the Cheetahs clash after undergoing an operation to fix his broken nose on Monday. Holmes is only expected to be back in 10 days’ time.

Give JDV a rest, the guys played almost the entire Super 15 and every Bok game. Im sure a week off will help with the niggles. A combo of Brache and JDJ will be very good.
The only Boks who should play for us this sat are Tiaan and JDJ, they havent played much rugby of late. Bekker, Etsebeth,Habana and JDV need to be rested.
With Holmes and Elstadt out, Duanne can play at 8 as he hasn’t played alot of rugby.
Still missing some big names:
Burger
Kolisi
Koster
Duvies
Carr

Like Pierre Spies and Morne Steyn, JdV has been played into the ground this season… No player management in SA. Don’t be surprised when form drops and players get injured.

No prob. Give Jean a rest. Brache and de Jongh should be an excellent centre pairing. Habana and Etsebeth must be there. Drop de Kock. He has made some crucial errors and concede many lineouts which has cost us matches lately. For heavens sake, retain Skarra. Pity about JP.
